[ event ; holding out for a hero ]

[Xion looks more than a little panicked. Her face is awfully close to her CAT, and it's close enough to be able to see the tears forming in her eyes.]

The Keyblade -- I can't call the Keyblade! Is -- Is anyone else... Having trouble? I know it isn't really that big of a deal, but the Keyblade, it's... [She hesitates, pulling away from the CAT a bit, brow furrowing.] It's more than just my weapon. It's a part of me -- A part of my heart. So the fact that it could be taken away from me... [She trails off, fear clear in her eyes.

After a moment, she shakes her head, and turns off the CAT.]

[ event ; truth hits everybody ]

[What have you done?

Xion can't get it out of her head as she huddles by one of the windows. She's rubbing her arms and breathing into her hands. Normally, the Organization coat is so good at regulating her temperature, despite what's going on with outside, but... It's certainly not working now.

What have you done?

... ugh. There are more important things to focus on than that.

...

Right?]

[The CAT feed turns on to video, but for a moment all you see is a blur of darkness and streaks of light. It catches the panicked voice of a teenage boy in mid-sentence.]

-- n't know what's going on --

[Finally, the video settles on a round boyish face, seeming to be roughly the age of sixteen or so, with an untamed mess of brown spiky hair and wide frantic eyes that are incredibly and vibrantly blue. The lighting on his face is strange, pale-green and ghostly, but judging by the kid's background, it seems he's in a... cave?]

Doctor! Doctor, can you hear me? Where are you?! Are you okay?! Doctor!

[His voice is desperate and too many kinds of scared. It's as if he's terrified his world is ending.]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Like last time, Xion is searching out her friends. Anyone and everyone she talked to, all the people she met here -- She wants to meet with them, talk to them, find out if they're staying or leaving, say good-bye if it's the latter. Unlike last time, though, her spirits are higher. She can stay. She can stay and still be helpful, still search for the answers they've been looking for, stay and live, really live.

She's also searching for one person in particular. She has something to ask him -- to ask of him, to inform him of something, and she... Part of her is hopeful. Part of her is nervous. Another part of her... feels like she can't ask this of him. She shouldn't ask him to stay for her. She knows she's asking for Nathan, but that's what it feels like. She feels like she doesn't have the right to ask that of him. If he has something important to do at home, then she has no right at all. (If he has something important to do at home, and says no, then...) Xion takes a deep breath and lets it out. At the same time, she has to ask. She has to know. She has to find out for herself.

So, Luministi. How about one last conversation with Xion?]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[When the video feed turns on, it shows Xion standing in a room that is nondescript and white. There are no decorations, nothing displaying personality, and there isn't a single person who would think that it's a girl's bedroom. It'd be easy to assume that she's somewhere in the space station, not in her town home, if Luministi itself wasn't directly visible.

The CAT must be sitting on a table, because Xion can be seen in front of a window with her back to the camera. After a moment, she speaks, still not showing her face.]

It's weird... Isn't it? Pieces of our worlds are starting to show up in town... And here I thought once we destroyed those two objects, we'd be going home. [But... Where would she go? She tries not to think about it.

Xion shakes her head, then turns to look at her CAT.] Lately, I've been wondering... What's waiting for everyone back home? What are you wanting to go back to? More importantly... Who are you wanting to go back to? [Because everyone's got somebody, Xion thinks. How can they not?] I realized, not too long ago, that even though I have so many friends here that are so important to me... I don't know much about them. Not really. So... I want to know.

[Well. In the meantime...] I want to search for Lab #3. The sooner we find it, the better. I think that, since there are doors from the space station to our houses, maybe somewhere in town there's a door that secretly leads to that place. Maybe in the mansion, since we haven't really had a chance to explore it yet. Does anyone wanna look with me?
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion's walking along in front of some storefronts when she just... starts talking aloud, whether or not there's someone there listening.] You know... I've been thinking. I was thinking back to what happened last time we were here, about how things will just show up and disappear, like that phone booth, and how those topiary animals attacked all the buildings but everything just went back to mysteriously normal one day... And how this town is really inside some kind of space station, but I don't think we were ever shown how to get in and out, we just found ourselves there, on the outside.

I went to talk to Aubrey today. I thought she was back to normal -- that she remembered last time -- but that's not the case at all. When I went to the bar, she didn't recognize me, and she should've. So... so.

What if... [She stops walking now.] What if we're inside a computer?

[She shakes her head. She knows she should explain. (To who?)] Where I'm from... There are worlds inside computers, just like there are worlds outside them. One of my best friends... He was almost put inside one of those worlds. I don't know how it works, but there's obviously some way to take real people and put them inside computer worlds.

What if we're inside a computer? That would explain a lot of things, I think. And... and...

cut for melt-down )

Nothing belongs to me! Why?! It's not fair it's not fair it's not fair --
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[She's back.

She's back.

She's alive and breathing and --

And she still looks like Sora. She doesn't know why, but she doesn't really care right now. She went back to him, she knows she did. It's the last thing she remembers, fading into light as everything she is and Roxas was flowed back to him.

And now she's back.

This is Luministi. This is that town. Why is she back? How is she back? She's not sure she cares. She's too excited. She's alive, she's back in that place where she met all of her new friends, she can finally start to live, really live, just like the Doctor showed her -- She is just so excited to be back.

Until she learns that Verita doesn't remember her. That... stings. Xion knew that everyone would forget her when she went back to Sora, but she had thought -- No... She didn't think. Things aren't the way they were.

Everyone's... forgotten her.

Xion is now just kind of wandering around the plaza, hood down, staring at the ground. She's not so excited any more. She's happy she's still alive, still exists, yes, that's true. But...

She's too wrapped up in her thoughts and feelings to notice the music following her around.]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion is standing by the window and staring at the stars, hood down, one arm behind her so she can hold her elbow with her other hand. So many stars... So many more than she ever saw in Traverse Town.

Traverse Town. She's... She's going back there. Going back home. And once she's there... She needs to go back where she belongs. She needs to go back to Twilight Town, find Riku and Naminé and DiZ... and go back to Sora.

If she said she wasn't scared, she would be lying. She is. She knows this will be the last time she will see these stars, these people... The last time she'll get to see her friends here.

After a moment, she sighs softly and shifts her weight to one leg before turning and walking away from the window.]

[ooc: Xion is going to be seeking out everyone she's ever talked to so she can say good-bye and thank you. :D So have at her~]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
Um... Doctor? I... think I may know the answer to Miss Osculia's door. Or. I have an idea, anyway. And I think I... I think I also know Verita's, but. Mister Braxiatel said I shouldn't go alone, so, um...

A-Are you... busy?
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
... Verita?

It's Xion. Um. You... The mayor made the news announcement today.

Are you okay?

[She has a really, really bad feeling about this.]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
Aah... Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

[Good morning, Luministi. I hope you enjoy your wake-up call of an accidental video... of a spiky-haired boy freaking out. Except he doesn't think he's a he. He shouldn't be a he. He should be a she! She should be a she with black hair and blue eyes -- Well, she still has the blue eyes. And the round face. And the boyish body isn't too terribly unfamiliar but -- but but but that's not the point!

Xion is slapping and pulling on her face and tugging on and running her fingers through her hair, staring into the nearest reflective surface, which happens to be a window hanging on the wall. From where the CAT is sitting, the view of her face is visible, and, in the corner of the screen, so is the closet. There is no hooded black coat.]

I'm dreaming I'm dreaming I'm dreaming I have to be dreaming this is a dream. I'm dreaming I'm Sora. That's what this is. It's just a very, very, very realistic dream but it's not real at all because I'm me. Not Sora. I'm me. I'm me.

[... but if this is a dream... why isn't it like any of the others with Sora in them? Why hasn't she woken up yet? Where is she? This isn't like any other world she's been to before. Or any world that Sora's been to. Or... Or anything like that.]

It... doesn't feel like a dream.
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion turns the video feed on. It's midday and her hood is back up, but she's sitting outside on a bench across the street from the phone booth.]

Thank you... whoever found the antidote. That was... close. At least, it felt like it.

[She lets out a slow exhale.]

Anyway... I think I found the source of the ringing. [She turns her CAT so it catches sight of the phone booth.] There's a phone in there that's going off all the time. But when I picked it up, all I heard was beeping. When I hung up, it started ringing again.

[She turns the CAT around again.] Did... Anyone else get that message? [She fiddles with her CAT to find the text, and then she reads it aloud.] "No time to talk. Find the booth, don't get caught. Come between midnight and one. More to come later."

... pretty straight-forward. But with that curfew... [Xion frowns.]

But I think it's important. This is like the music inside the greenhouse. It's not going to just go away. [She pauses, then mutters bitterly:] Not yet, anyway.

[She shakes her head.] The regular people can't hear the phone or see the booth. Whatever is going on... It's up to us to figure it out.
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion clearly isn't doing very well.

Being small has been helpful to her in battle, as it gives her speed, but now it's working against her. Even Sora's body is short and thin, and the poison has been wrecking havoc on her system.

For the first time, she's not wearing her Organization coat. It's been cast aside, tossed over the back of a chair. She's dressed simply, a black shirt and black pants, and is curled up in a tight ball on her bed. Her CAT is lying next to her on her pillow; she's been keeping the network open to keep track of the progress everyone's been making. She doesn't realize that it's recording. Sora's tan complexion has paled, and she clearly has a fever; despite the sweat on her face, she has a blanket drawn up all around her.

She would've helped more, really, but she... She's not good at riddles. She's just not. She's not smart enough. (The sickness is taking its toll on her all ready low self-esteem.) All she can do is... wait.

She's so useless.] nnn...
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Roxas is alive.

Roxas is alive.

Roxas...

How?! How could this be? She watched him -- She saw -- She knows what happened! She was there! She's the one who did it! It's her fault! How can he be here when he should be -- When he should --

In an impulsive burst of nerves, Xion runs to the nearest reflective surface -- a shop window -- and tears her hood down. Look, see? Sora! She looks like Sora! Brown hair and a boy's body! And she summons her Keyblades -- both of them -- Oblivion and Oathkeeper, one for Roxas's life and one for his d -- one for his dea --

Slowly, she lowers the Keyblades to her side, head dropping. She realizes she's shaking.]

I... I don't... How...?

[The CAT in her pocket picks up her few words and projects just the audio, though she doesn't know it. She's kind of distracted by other things.]
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
Is anyone having any luck fighting off the statues and... green animals?

Nothing I've tried works -- Keyblade, magic... Nothing.

Verita asked us to help protect the town. Maybe I don't know why or how we got here, but... It's still home to the townspeople. There has to be something we can do.

But even that explosion didn't do anything... [Oh, yes, Xion saw that on the CAT. She just... decided... not to say anything about it.] What are we going to do?
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion turns on her CAT's audio function with a sigh. This is the first time she's willingly sent something out like this, and it makes her a little nervous. Still... She's been stuck out here in the garden for hours and hasn't seen anyone else, and she can't find the way out.]

Hi. I'm... uh. I'm stuck in the greenhouse place. I can't find my way out. Is there anyone who can help me? Or... something?

I know there are other people stuck, too. I haven't run into anyone, though.

And... Is anyone else hearing music?
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[Xion is also outside when the weather report comes on. After her conversations and free meal at the restaurant, she decided to just explore the town at her own pace. If she finds the answer to her clue, she finds the answer. She took her time wandering around, seeing what store sold what and what kind of food was made at this restaurant and that restaurant. She's on her way to finish exploring the square when her CAT turns on.

She checks her CAT after the mayor's message -- and then performs a double-take.] Huh? "A chance of showers and thunderstorms... rain followed by freezing rain and sleet. Today's high 75... 'eff'... and 25... 'see'. Today's low minus 10 'eff' and minus 23 'see'. Winds out of the Southeast at 40 to 50... em-pee-aych."

[She has no idea what most of that means, but from what she does know, she can tell something's not quite right.] But... That's not what the mayor -- Gah!

[The rain hits her suddenly, accompanied by a lightning strike that is much too close for comfort. Close enough that she can see where it landed, even. She stares at the spot the lightning struck incredulously and finds herself immensely glad for her Organization coat, what with its hood and weather resistan -- ] Aaaahhh! [THAT lightning strike was even closer!]

[Xion's just going to start making a mad dash for the nearest building, thankyou. Luckily for her, it's the library. Unluckily for her, the rain has become sleet, and the ice is all ready acclimating on the ground, making it slippery -- enough so that she finds her feet moving out from underneath her, sending her crashing to the ground.] Ow!

[The landing has turned on her CAT's video function, though at first all anyone can make out is the inside of her coat pocket and the sounds of sleet, thunder, and cloth rustling.] Ugh... [Xion tries to get to her feet carefully.] Didn't the mayor say it's sunny...?
[identity profile] irreversibly.livejournal.com
[pretty much immediately after Xion's conversation with Verita.]

[Xion wanders, hood up, along the street near the shops, blinking curiously into them. If asked, she wouldn't be able to tell you if she's mostly exploring or mostly trying to pick a place to eat. There are... a lot of shops to look at, but at least now she knows where the baked goods in her basket came from.

She wants to find a place to sit and eat (a real meal, not just something scavenged off shelves in abandoned houses) and think over her riddle. In the end, she just chooses somewhere at random (an Italian restaurant, not that she knows it yet -- not that she knows what Italy is, let alone what kind of food the culture is known for). It's a nice place: quiet, not too pretentious, and the lights aren't extremely bright, which puts her subconsciously more at ease.

But she lingers at the front awkwardly with the sudden realization that she'd never eaten in a restaurant before. What is she supposed to do? She fidgets with the ends of her sleeves until a waiter offers to take her to a table, and she follows shyly. Once she takes her seat (after ordering just water after the waiter asked what she wanted to drink), she takes out the piece of paper Verita gave her and lays it down on the table in front of her.]

I may not have arms or legs to tone
But if you carry me here by my spine
I can go home as your own
Only for a limited time...

[She reads it aloud, though she's immediately reminded how much her voice bothers her now. Her... male voice.

She stares at it for a long time... and then sighs.] I don't get it.
