[Have some fitting music...

Croix is sitting in the park, drenched from the chest up with seltzer water. And as if to make matters worse, he's got the remains of a cream pie sliding down his hair. He is not happy.

[for anyone who has been near the Janus Theatre recently, they may have noticed the non-stop marathon of Three Stooges films. those who haven't are going to quickly become aware of them now. this song is transmitted over the CATs, and the moment it does, tables filled to bursting with creme pies, fruit pies, and chocolate pies spontaneously appear in the streets surrounding the town square. nice, innocent pies...courtesy of the Luministi Bakery, of course.

but like the people in this Three Stooges short, the townspeople are in a bit of a silly mood. and who knows what will happen when people are in silly moods and there are pristine, sweet pies just sitting around...]

[In the town square stands a machine proportioned like a teenage girl, with tangled waist length black hair. But not a human one, because even disregarding the slightly odd proportions of her face and the glowing red eyes, emerging from that mass of hair are two curled, metal horns. Aradia could use 'ram' to describe them, if she wasn't very much an alien and completely disinterested in your human hoofbeasts. The craftsmanship is nevertheless superb.

Her attempts to abscond had failed. The maid of time couldn't even escape from this town, let alone into another timeline.

Aradia is staring at the clock with a look of distaste while a a haunting refrain plays.]

[Out of all the crazy stuff Ichigo had been a witness of, he wasn't sure what was more surprising: his first time in Soul Society or this new town. The people, as much as they seemed real or how much they talked, there was still something about it that didn't really set right in his skin.]

This place is like one of those creepy sci-fi movies, give me a break. Why's this always happening to me, anyway!

[The people walking around didn't seem to notice him much and he most certainly wasn't in the mood for being ignored or being stared at. He glared at everyone and everything. Ichigo was going to get answers one way or another. He's climbed up on a bench looking thing.]

What the hell is going on here, where the hell am I? Grimmjow you asshole, if this is your doing... I'm sick of you and your Arrancar tricks, you wanted to fight me so don't back down from it like some coward! I came for Orihime and I intend on leaving with her. I don't care what you and your friends throw at me.

[A few of the people passing eyed him strangely, he only glared back.]

What are you lookin' at, hu? Creepy bastards...

[It takes but a moment for Lloyd to figure out how to work out the device. What was it called again? The CAT? Either way, he supposed it did not really matter. It was a cute, kitschy piece of technology but he was not exactly impressed with most video recorders or transmitters in his day and age, figuring he could probably make a better one given ample time and resources--the latter which he had in spades, the former which he would always have need of. It was because he had no time that he found himself a bit irritated with this whole situation. He needed to go home and do work.]

Ah~ what an interesting situation I have found myself in this time. [He smiles, though it isn't necessarily friendly: the irritation lurking under his pleasant expression actually makes it a bit... feral.] I can't say I've had this happen to me before! However, I understand that this is not necessarily true for some of you...

I would like to go home. [He sighs, tilting his head to the side and a hand against his cheek.] Though I am going to miss my music if I were to get my wish and leave. It is quite appropriate, isn't it~? I'm fond of it myself.

[Turning her CAT to broadcast to all the 'new' residents (she supposed the term is still valid even if some had been here once already), she puts on a bright smile and bows.]

Hello, everyone! I regret that we are meeting under such circumstances, but it is so good to see you! My name is Fuu Hououji. Age fifteen, third year of junior high school in Tokyo, blood type A.

I believe that being well informed is important, and I have some very relevant information to share with you that might well influence us all greatly.
For some of us, this is our second time seeing this place. I believe that those who are here for the first time might like to hear about what happened to those of us who were here already. There is a lot to explain, and it's for the best if we are all as well-informed as possible. [A shadow of a frown passes over her face.] This place will have enough secrets.
[And her face brightens again]

I'd be happy to meet anyone who is interested at the gazebo in the town park at 7 tonight. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends, and meeting new.

[[ooc: yep, I'm afraid that this is what Fuu decided to do! She's keen to spill all the beans on what went down last time (for all the good it might do them for this second round XD).

So if you like, tag in here with either [action] to meet Fuu, or continue on in [video]. She will share as much as you can handle about what happened last time in this lovely little town. She kept a journal, so will be able to share in great detail...

To save my sanity, may I direct your attention to the lovely and amazing Plot Summary? Feel free to also peruse Fuu's Chronicle, but keep in mind she won't share anything she deems 'personal'.

If any second-time people want to team up with Fuu in the story-telling, please do jack in!]]

[There is a man in a plain back, two button suit and tie, with well polished shoes who is currently pacing in front of the statue in the town square. His close cropped brown hair is left slightly mussed as he absently runs a hand through it, muttering softly under his breath.]

This is too elaborate for him. I stopped him. So this is something else, something far more complex. The Mayor isn't available, I've heard that before. [He makes a face]

What am I talking about I've used that before!

[he is still pacing, not noticing the drums that he hears constantly in his own mind are now audible outside of those confines. his step falters as the realization dawns on him and he whirls quickly, clearly thrown. His voice is soft.] What...? No, no that's not...

[Then louder] I don't take well to being toyed with.

[Again, he thinks he hears the sound of the infernal noise behind him and he turns, barely resisting the urge to growl in frustration. With effort, he takes a breath, reigning himself back under control. He meticulously smooths out his hair, then his suit, and ends with straightening his cuffs.]

Very well, since answers do not seem to be forthcoming, I suppose I'll just have to wait. I hope it isn't for too long. I have far more important things to attend to that don't involve my staying in this ridiculous, if seemingly quaint, setting.

[a man in steel and yellow body armor steps out of the town hall followed immediately by Sheriff Iussus.] Yes, thank you clearing that all up for us, Sheriff. I can completely understand why someone would panic when an armed man walks into an office with an innocent question--even though said weapon was nowhere near his hands. This kind of thing happens all the time. [only not at all, but he doesn't say that out loud.]

[the sheriff simply smiles, though the sarcasm in Washington's voice definitely isn't lost on him, and he holds his hand out. Wash obliges, giving the hand a single shake before releasing it and he remains where he is while the sheriff walks away.]

Well. [sighs] That was a total waste of time. [and so was his use of his helmet's long-range radio earlier, for that matter. grumbling softly, he starts to walk into the square in search of someone who can be more useful to him, all the while mindful of his motion tracker though no one seems to be setting up to ambush or attack him just from the general patterns of their movements. nevertheless, his hand casually reaches down to triple-check that his sidearm is still there--and it is; and he knows his rifle is still on his back--but just then, he starts to hear what sounds like whistling. it's faint at first, so he doesn't pay it any attention.]

[until the music suddenly crescendos with a full orchestra and surprises the hell out of him]

What the--?! [he immediately whirls around, but sees no one behind him. at least, no one who's whistling or bearing an instrument, anyway. and still the music continues.] This town is getting stranger by the minute. Where the hell is that music coming from?!

[the minute Sophie appears in Luministi, she storms straight out of her townhouse and toward the Mayoral Residence, nevermind the message from the Mayor, the unexpected items still in her townhouse, any coupons waiting in the square, or the rather dramatic music that is following her]

Mayor--Dr--whatever your name is, Caligin! I demand to be returned to the castle this instant! We've already suffered your utterly ridiculous whims once, and I refuse to be exploited a second tii--iiie!

[Sophie's words turn into a mix of a shout of surprise and a cry of rage as she finds herself suddenly no longer on the path to the residence, but rather back in the Town Square. not to be deterred, she ignores Verita and the other residents for the moment, too single-mindedly focused on her task to be bothered. she turns and marches resolutely back toward the Mayoral Residence, muttering furiously]

You will let me into that house. Do you hear me, path? You will not turn me around. You will let me in!

[she's still muttering when she once again finds herself back in the Town Square] Oh, confound it! [being Sophie, this means she marches right back toward the residence again] You can't keep us here again! CALIGIN! You ca--

[there is a resounding splash as, this time, Sophie finds herself falling directly into the lake. for the next several minutes, there is a fair amount of splashing and gurgling yells of anger as Sophie fishes herself out, fighting against her long blue dress the entire way. she finally emerges, dripping from head-to-toe and glaring at anyone with the misfortune to be nearby]

[Inside one of the townhouses is a rather confused Highlander, looking rather as if he's stepped out of the 18th century, if his outfit is anything to go by.] Hey?

[This place is strange, unlike anything he's seen before, and he rubs his eyes in an effort to try and get it to go away. It remains stubbornly where it is...and then the screen lights up. Jamie stumbles back from it, looking rather frightened. However, as all it does is show a man talking, he calms down quickly, going so far as touch the surface of the vidscreen briefly - just as the message ends. Touching it a second time doesn't seem to do anything, so he looks around, ready to pull his claymore if need be. When it's clear he's by himself, he relaxes a little and turns to trying to figure out what's going on instead.]

Think, Jamie. How could ye have gotten here? [He frowns, trying to recall what he was doing.] I was chasing that Redcoat down, I know that. And I'd almost caught him, too, but then I was here. But how? There was nothing for miles, except that wee patch of...mushrooms.

[With dawning realization, he looks around at the room and its furnishings, some familiar in form even though they don't look exactly like what he's used to, and some that are quite, quite strange. There's only one real explanation he can think of for how he's here - that he must have stumbled into a fairy ring and this is their home. There's not much he can do now, except perhaps figure out his surroundings. A bit of an exploration finds the welcome basket, and spotting the CAT inside, he reaches out to pick it up. He startles for a moment as it turns on of its own accord, but then he takes a closer look. He can read the directions, but doesn't trust the device, and puts it back.] I don't know what the fairies would want with that wee thing, but I'll not be so easily tricked.

[Back to the rest. If he's going to explore further, some supplies would be in order. The bottles of wine would be too hard to take with him, so he settles for taking a couple of pieces of fruit, the packet of crackers and, after consideration, the map.] That'll do. Now to see if I can't find out where this Looming Misty place actually is.

[He'd not care to spend the rest of his life with the fairies if he can avoid it, and figuring out where this town of theirs is located is a start at getting back. Heading towards the exit, he's unaware the CAT has decided to come along with him, as it's shrunken down to its pin-like state. He steps outside, blinking a bit at the change of light, and raises his hand to shield his eyes. It's strange and different enough that the kilted young man finds himself wandering through the streets and staring at just about everything. The sound of bagpipes follows along with the Scot, but doesn't seem to be bothering him. After all, everything's strange enough right now as it is. A little extra music isn't making much of a difference one way or another.]

[On a busy-ish street corner is a person of average hight, perhaps on the slight side, and with a long mane of lavender hair. The person is clearly not impressed.]

I would like to return home. There are pressing matters I must attend to and it is important I do so quickly.

[Even if this person looks effeminate, the voice that emanates leaves no doubt that it is a man. He's holding his CAT but seems to be paying very little attention to it, or to any announcements or exited town Criers. Or to the music playing. This fellow just wants answers. ]

[She's back.

She's back.

She's alive and breathing and --

And she still looks like Sora. She doesn't know why, but she doesn't really care right now. She went back to him, she knows she did. It's the last thing she remembers, fading into light as everything she is and Roxas was flowed back to him.

And now she's back.

This is Luministi. This is that town. Why is she back? How is she back? She's not sure she cares. She's too excited. She's alive, she's back in that place where she met all of her new friends, she can finally start to live, really live, just like the Doctor showed her -- She is just so excited to be back.

Until she learns that Verita doesn't remember her. That... stings. Xion knew that everyone would forget her when she went back to Sora, but she had thought -- No... She didn't think. Things aren't the way they were.

Everyone's... forgotten her.

Xion is now just kind of wandering around the plaza, hood down, staring at the ground. She's not so excited any more. She's happy she's still alive, still exists, yes, that's true. But...

She's too wrapped up in her thoughts and feelings to notice the music following her around.]

[Having received his coupon from Verita, (he wasn't honestly interested in the coupon, but she was just so enthusiastic about it, how could he refuse?) Croix is now wandering the square, towards the shops, looking at his CAT and trying to figure it out.]

It's like a telemo, only it has a lot more to it...

[He finally looks up, eyes narrowed, focused now. He's clearly on a mission: Step one, find Luca. Step two, find Lady Cloche. Step three, find-... Okay, find everyone. Then, get out of here. The fact that none of this is remotely familiar bothers him - there's only so much land, after all, and for him to turn up somewhere he's never seen before takes a lot of effort.]

Someone here has to have seen them. Don't worry, Luca, wherever you are. I'll protect you.

[And suddenly, he hears a strange melody, one meant to fill the spirit with determination! Baffled, he looks around, trying to figure out where it's coming from...]

[the picturesque town with all of its refineries is quiet and still; the air stagnant as though a single breath of wind hasn't blown through in a while. and indeed, there hasn't; not a single person or animal can be seen in the town either.

then, as if with the snap of someone's finger, the town is suddenly filled with townspeople going to and fro, and the air is sweet with the aroma of newly bloomed spring flowers and the wafting smell of freshly baked bread from the Luministi Bakery. an early morning sun gradually rises in the sky towards its zenith. there's not a single cloud in the sky, though there is a lovely breeze sweeping through the town. also, at that very moment, select homes in Luministi Greens East and West find themselves occupied, some with new residents and some with ones who have seen the insides of the places they didn't exactly call home the last time they were there. Mayor Caligin's tried and true official greeting plays for each and every person in those homes immediately upon their appearance there.

not five minutes later, on every single CAT device and vidscreen around town, a musical montage starts to play, accompanied by a visual one comprised of a few images around town before the image on-screen focuses in on the town hall, and then fades to show Mayor Caligin again, his grayscale visage smiling eagerly. he is every bit the image of a happy man concerned only with pleasing every citizen of his town.]

Good morning, citizens of Luministi! It is my pleasure to announce the arrival of several new citizens to our wonderful town. In their honor, several of our finest restaurants and our famous malt shop are offering coupons to all of our newcomers, as well as current residents so get out there and welcome your fellow citizen! [his smile somehow grows even broader--almost even prouder in a way.] Those coupons can be procured from our own darling town crier, Verita, in the town square.

Now I believe that is--[he stops abruptly as a sheet of paper and a hand belonging to Miss Osculia comes into view.] Ah yes, I knew there was something else I wished to announce. [he smiles at Miss Osculia off-screen and--is that a wink? hmmm, could be a trick of the sunlight coming into the mayoral office.] Two more short announcements. As part of our Luministi Revival Program and the influx of new residents, Sheriff Iussus has teamed up with our office to install a handful of new security cameras around town so the Sheriff's Office can better protect all citizens and act on any brewing trouble before it gets a chance to harm anyone. Do not forget, if you need any help at any time from the Sheriff, his CAT code and that of the Sheriff's Office is located in your town directory.

And on a lighter--much lighter!--note, the Janus Theatre has announced the first of its new film festivals. For the next two weeks, it will be celebrating a variety of the finest in classical vintage comedic feature-length films and short films in history. From the list I have in front of me, you are in for a treat! Now, all films will be shown within the theatre proper as well as our outdoor area located behind the Janus Theatre. I look forward to seeing everyone out enjoying themselves!

[and just as the CATs and vidscreens shut off, there is a curious little sound, like that of an old television set turning off...]
