[Luke is the busiest bee this week, and it shows. He has a lot of places to go, people to see, things to apologize for...

...In fact that's where he'll start. He'll pop in to where Kanaya works with a lot of embarrassment and a make-it-up-to-you present. It also gives him another chance to browse through the stuff in Mu's store and pick out a couple of things he thinks important people are going to like!

Then it's off to sulk in a corner of the coffee shop and hope Kon doesn't give him any grief about his black eye. He and his bratty cousin don't come to blows all that often anymore - Luke's an intern for the law and things like that shouldn't happen - but when it does, Vriska usually wins. He wishes it wouldn't happen so much. The girl ought to stop making fun of his sister!

Speaking of his sister. That's next on the list, after some quality time with a tea if he can get it - finding Xion and delivering to her a gift. Possibly receiving a lecture about the black eye. If Leaf or his uncle are hanging around, he'll be forced to submit to their interrogation too, won't he? Kidding! It doesn't feel like interrogation to talk to them most of the time. If Crazy Uncle Ichijou is around he will...do his best.

Then it's off to "work" for a couple of hours, though it's mostly filing papers and trying to keep his composure around Croix any time Terezi wanders into the building. The teasing would never stop. Never.

It's been a very long day by then, all right? So when he sits on a bench in the evening to fiddle around with his CAT...hey, he's still Luke no matter what, and what he types in is a short puzzle.]

What is it that is so very fragile that simply to say its name is to break it?

[It's a nice and normal day in Luministi, and that's definitely the case in the Sheriff's office. Today is yet another training day for Deputy Washington and his deputies-in-training. Currently, he's standing in front of a map of the town, his gray suit pressed and dry-cleaned, his yellow tie knotted snugly in place. He's very much a man who has a neat and clean appearance, though his hair could use a trim. He's been remiss, whatwith the festival preparations and security needed during that time. Thankfully, he didn't need his riot gear (re: armor), so that's stowed away safely in a closet.]

All right, all right, settle down. Now, we were pretty lucky things went as smooth as they did during the festival. There were a couple years where we weren't so fortunate. Need I remind you what our very own Sagan Natsuo did? [He pauses for silence, not expecting an answer. Everyone remembers that incident.] No? I thought so.

Anyway, I thought we'd start today with a practical kind of exercise, so I hope you've worn comfortable shoes. We're going to be on our feet for the rest of the day.
