[Croix was already at the Observation Deck when the fire pit appeared. ... Thanks for that. He probably would have had a slightly more comical reaction if he wasn't still a liiiittle on the angry side - as it was, he simply twitched, glared at it, and then looked around for any other changes in the room. And that scribbled message on the wall? Was definitely a change. Since then, he'd tried to make his way out, suspicious about what staying there could mean. No escape, huh? It figured.

So, he's been here. Pretty much just waiting for everyone else to show up. He's standing, arms crossed, leaning on his shoulder against the glass, and just looking out at the stars. Every once in a while, he glances back at that message on the wall.]

I think it's a safe guess that more trouble's on the way.

[And he is not looking forward to whatever is coming up next...]

[it doesn't take long for Sophie to join him] Mr Croix! Have you found anything here? [she eyes that message on the screens, her expression dark]

[He shakes his head.] No. Just the writing there, and this... fire. [He gives said fire another look.] I don’t even see any wood. How exactly is it burning?

[off-handedly] Magic, I would imagine.

[she mutters softly to herself:] What have you done? Hmph! As if we're the ones responsible for any of it.

[Action!]

[It looks like Ichijou has already been to the kitchen, as he's shuffling around with a cup of what was once coffee, but is now vaguely coffee-flavored sugar milk.]

"On the way?" You don't think it's already here? I don't know about you, but I would consider freezing to death to be "trouble!"

I know. That’s why I said more trouble. [Though at the mention of the cold, he subconsciously pulls the jacket he’s wearing a little tighter. He blinks at the cup in Ichijou’s hands, curious.] What’s that?

[manicurious]

This? It's just some coffee with extra cream and sugar. I thought that something sweet would make me feel better. I was hoping that it would be warm, too, but it hardly even stayed that way for a few seconds.

[It seems to be working a bit, at least. His next words come out rather playfully as he looks up at the strange writing.]

It's pretty much the safest guess I've ever heard. Are they trying to get us to blame each other?

I wouldn’t be surprised. The best way to weaken a group is to turn them all on each other. Maybe that’s their angle this time... [His eyes narrow a bit at that thought.]

Well, we'll just have to show that we're better than that. [crossing his arms] Besides, it's a very wide accusation, isn't it? What have you done… to cause what, exactly?

[Kon shows up a little bit later than the others. Although he's wearing Sophie's gloves, it's more a fashion statement than any outright need to wear warm clothes - he actually seems unaffected by the snow.]

... A fire pit, huh? I guess that's better than nothing.

[Meanwhile, Croix's pretty damn cold, thanks. Luckily, he'd managed to find a coat sometime between the ending of all the chaos and now...]

Yeah, it could be worse. Though to be honest, I'm kind of waiting for it to get worse.

[Good thing. Kon gives Croix a once-over before he pulls Sophie's hat out of his pocket and hands it over.]

It's never a dull day, that's for sure.

... I'm not sure I like any of this at all. [It's rare that Leaf is completely serious, but the whole situation is calling for it, so she's trying.

Her natu is cradled in her arms as he sleeps. She's cuddling the pokemon more for the reassurance that if something does go wrong, it'll defend her.] Is the town normally like this?

[Natsuo... is too distracted by the cute little natu to actually answer her question right now. He scoots his way over, practically sticking his nose all up in her business~]

[ Okay, sure, he'll bite. You can expect to see Nero wander into the observation deck at some point. Probably late, 'cause he is just so cliché fashionable. ] Doesn't look like much of a party in here.

[Oh what's this!? A stylish young man wearing a fair amount of one of Ichijou's favorite colors? Ichijou practically slithers up with a look of somewhat genuine interest and pleasantness despite the fact that his fingertips are turning an unnerving shade of blue.]

If we could find a chainsaw and some big enough tubs of water, we could make an ice bar and pressure each other into doing karaoke. It might make things slightly more fun.

They might be waiting for the gate crashers to get into position first. [Dave has been here from the start. Well, since his troll pal came along.]

[He's pretty quiet when he approaches. Which isn't unusual when Dave's in time to do my role mode. He gestures to the whole of the deck.]

Just what trouble does this place usually get?

[Croix recognizes Dave from over the CAT network, even though he was a bit too... um... angry to properly respond at the time. So while Croix's a little on his guard because he doesn't know this kid, he's pretty sure he's not a threat. So that helps.]

You mean just this room? Nothing specific. This whole town, though... I don't even know where to begin to explain the trouble.

Anyway, since we're all supposed to be here on the observation deck... I'm pretty sure there's more to this than just keeping us out of the snow.

[Wash walks over to Croix, his armor covered in a nice layer of snow after attempting to go back into town. he's given the young man some space to cool down the past few days, but as they seem to be stuck in one place, now seems like an opportune time to talk. he knows he needed the time himself, especially after learning about Lab #3. he's still very, very angry, but he's able to bury it quite easily, stowing it away with his anger towards other things back home.]

Croix. [he nods once, snow tipping off the brim of his helmet. with a sigh, he begins to brush it away.] At least it isn't a maze this time.

[Croix nods in response, and then shakes his head at the collection of snow on his armor.] No, it's hard to make a maze out of one open room.
