[Croix was already at the Observation Deck when the fire pit appeared. ... Thanks for that. He probably would have had a slightly more comical reaction if he wasn't still a liiiittle on the angry side - as it was, he simply twitched, glared at it, and then looked around for any other changes in the room. And that scribbled message on the wall? Was definitely a change. Since then, he'd tried to make his way out, suspicious about what staying there could mean. No escape, huh? It figured.

So, he's been here. Pretty much just waiting for everyone else to show up. He's standing, arms crossed, leaning on his shoulder against the glass, and just looking out at the stars. Every once in a while, he glances back at that message on the wall.]

I think it's a safe guess that more trouble's on the way.

[And he is not looking forward to whatever is coming up next...]

[He waves it off, frowning.] Mm, I didn't think so. It's fine. But… we know now that it just happens like that. I suppose that's something.

Yeah, it is. [He frowns.] I would say we should avoid saying it, but... would that get us anywhere? [... Sigh.] Would saying it get us anywhere either?

If it's happening in response to asking the question? We might be better off saying it. [still frowning] Though that's probably going to be revealing and fairly embarrassing.

[raising one hand] …I've never kidnapped anyone, for the record.

Yeah. It will be. But... maybe something will come of it. We could always try...

[Croix smiles a bit at that, and nods once.] Yeah, I didn't think you were the type to kidnap someone. At least, not royalty. Riding a dragon, though... That's pretty amazing.

Yeah. If there's something that can help…

Ah, it wouldn't necessarily do much to kidnap someone who wasn't royal, either! [he grins, tucking his hands in his sash] It took a bit of talking to convince her to take us, but she agreed in the end! Which was very good of her, I don't think she'd carried quite as much weight before.

[He chuckles.] That’s true. [And he smiles.] How many of you were there? And just how big was this dragon?

Ah, there's six of us total… Three of us went the first time, though. [He considers the area, glancing around, and turns to Croix again, holding up a hand.] Hold on… [taking four full steps back, and a fifth shorter one] She's about this long, and about this wide with her wings shut. [He holds his hands out, indicating not quite twice his own width.] She's still young, though.

So she'll be even bigger? Wow. The only dragons I know are hostile. Monsters that attack humans if they're too far away from the cities.

Yeah. [he laughs, arms crossed over his chest] Well… to tell you the truth, most of the dragon we encountered were hostile, too. They used to have an Emperor or something, I think… but he's gone. He wouldn't have ever ruled over her, though. She… well, she and her family, I believe they're guardians of Rolante. Anyone else would have a hard time getting them on side.

So, some dragons are hostile, but a few are guardians? [He... can't help but laugh a little at his own curiosity and amazement.] Your world sounds pretty incredible.

[desertdaggers]

[Hawk laughs, hands dropping, and grins at Croix.] No more incredible than yours! I'm sure there's something equally fantastic you could tell me about it.

We might be here all day trying to compare our worlds. [But it makes him smile. At least it keeps their minds off of the cold, right?]

[desertdaggers]

[Hawk grins.] Well… I don't think I have anywhere else I need to be urgently. Shall we find somewhere to sit down?

Even if you did, you'd probably have to reschedule due to severe weather. So why not?

Maybe we can even get something to drink. I thought I saw someone was able to go that way...

Sounds like a plan. Let's see what there is. [and heading towards the kitchen]
