◌ 005 ◌ Aliens! / Calling Raivis
[Fuu is walking to the park for archery practice (thusly attired and armed) when the message arrives. And she's rather delighted by it.]
Aliens! How amazing!
[Having made it only as far as the south-west corner of the library, she looks over to find that the Poseidon statue is gone.]
... Something is seriously up with that statue. First it was moving around in the weird-weather lighting, and now this.
[Suddenly she thinks of Raivis. Concerned that Miss Verita's message might have frightened the boy, she activates her CAT. After a moment of consideration, she decides to make the transmission open to all.]
Well, I'm not so sure about the sky falling [Fuu pauses and tilts the CAT up, showing a perfectly fine sky], but something strange is happening again.
Raivis, are you okay? Stay inside, alright? I'm going to have a look around-- oh! [As she had glanced up to suit actions to words, she notices the large Kirin-like statue from the greenhouse. Now across the street from her by the theatre.]
How did you get there...?

I wouldn't suggest going near it. Just a word of advice.
no subject
Oh?
...
Oh. It just moved.
[Backing away, a nervous grin on her face.]
Thank you for the sound advice, Mister Braxiatel, but I'm afraid it's too late.
no subject
[Being in the gardens puts him a bit too far away from her for his liking. Not exactly well-positioned to pull off a cavalry stunt.]
no subject
This is true!
Yes, getting indoors is sounding great. Umm... [The Kirin is between her and the theater, the shops are kinda far away, and the library entrance is pretty far too (not to mention closer to that explosion from a moment ago).]
[If Xion was any indication, her magic should work here, but she'd rather not show it off to the whole CAT network right now, if it can be helped.]
[Never taking her eyes off the Kirin, she decides to back away slowly to the west, towards the shops.]
Do you happen to know that running from mythical creatures attracts their attention to you?
[ooc: Aww, I'd love to see him pull off a dashing rescue of the (supposedly) helpless maiden! But yeah, it might be ungentlemanly to run all that way, eh? XD]
no subject
[ooc: To his advantage, he canonically can pull of a 'nonchalant stroll' that somehow keeps pace with a cybernetically enhanced human running at full-tilt. The gentlemanliness remains preserved even when speed is called for!]
no subject
Yes, good shoes are important! [She herself is wearing good shoes for the intended walk to the garden, but unfortunately hakama has a tendency to be troublesome if you step wrong.]
I never knew that auctions could be as troublesome as pursuing beasts though.
[From the corner of her eye she can see the red pavement of the shopping plaza. Almost there.
Unfortunately, she hasn't noticed that the flora is considerably more vigorous than before, and the flower planters behind her are looking kinda overgrown...]
[ooc: Fantastic! Efficient and gentlemanly! Very impressive.]
no subject
[He notices the plants. While he doesn't seem to be walking with any further urgency, his pace is certainly picking up.] Don't let what's ahead of you distract you from what's behind.
no subject
[Fuu pauses, her grin becoming even more nervous.]
More sound advice, Mister Braxiatel. And perhaps this has arrived in time?
[Risking a glance behind her she sees ivy, flowers and grasses a mere ten feet away looking terribly violent for plants. They grow even as she watches and reach out as if to ensnare her.]
Oh--
[And~ the Kirin decides to take that opportunity to rush her.]
Winds-
[ooc: She's intending to use a protection spell. Brax interrupts FTW? XD]
no subject
runabsurdly fast nonchalant stroll. Fuu is too far away for him to reach, so he tosses over an odd make-shift device of wires and metal from his pocket. It brings up a thin wall of light between Fuu and the Kirin - and then it drops.][suddenly more irritated than worried]
Surely you're joking. He's the most useless person in all of spacetime. [He's obviously not referring to himself]
[No one ever said Time Lords could prioritize]
[ooc; I hope this works?]
no subject
Winds of Admonishment!
[The air roars as the magic streams from her, binding the plants and the Kirin in thick swathes of wind, rendering them immobile.
Gathering up her hakama in one hand, slinging her bow over one shoulder opposite the quiver, she dashes towards Mister Braxiatel.]
Woo, I'm glad that worked! Thanks for the distraction. [Nabbing him by the elbow she steers them towards the nearest door.]
[ooc: lol! Aw, he's a star ^.^ If Brax allows himself to be steered inside, perhaps you could choose the place they end up? (It could be the tea house? I have no idea where it is on the map technically, but if you're gonna be stuck somewhere, it'd be not a bad place to be.)]
no subject
[Blissfully, it is the English tea room. As it is empty, he opts to start making the tea for himself.] Would you care for a cup?
[Questions about magic and long angry rants about relations who don't hand over proper supplies can be saved for after tea is gotten.]
[ooc: Excellently! A tea house is invariably the best place to be.]
no subject
Ohh, tea would be fantastic, thank you.
[Fuu smiles her thanks as she takes off the bow and quiver and sets them on the counter.]
Thank you for your warnings, Mister Braxiatel. A big stone Kirin coming after me is one thing, but the plants!
[She spares a moment to check the bow for damage. Other than the string being a bit out of whack, it seems to be okay, thankfully. She then glances out the window. Her magic is starting to disapate, but there is no doubt that the stone statue still wants to move and that the plants are still growing bigger.]
It might not be aliens from above like Miss Verita thought, but it's sure almost as crazy!
no subject
[and now, 20 questions in person!]
[Urk. Caught red-handed, so to speak. She didn't mind so much that Mister Braxiatel had seen her use the magic, but that it had been broadcast over the CAT. The people who had trapped them here now certainly knew.]
[Taking her CAT she turns it off of broadcasting. With a glance to Mister Braxiatel she makes sure that his is off as well before continuing.]
Yes, that was wind magic. [He'd asked a question, now it was her turn!]
I could have sworn that you were in the garden on the other side of the shopping plaza when you first called. How ever did you come so quickly?
[He didn't look one bit winded, and even when they were hustling towards the tea house it was like he was merely strolling!]
[NowI with added beverage!]
[Now in past-tense!]
no subject
... You're into archery too?
no subject
[ooc: Yay that Fuu evades the snark XD (But there may be no evading a Monty Python thought crossing the mind...)]
no subject
[ooc; I am honestly canonblind about Monty Python. ._. Sorry, but Cissie's snark'll be a different brand until I can catch up.]
[Obvious? Who, me?]
[Seeing as Xion knows magic and all, she's sure that he's giving it everything he's got.]
[ooc: Unless you like British humour, you're not missing too much, honest XDD]
no subject
[ooc; Sweet. ... And apologies for epic lateness.]
no subject
[ooc: no worries! Notifs are *still* slow for me, and their maintenance was a few days ago, I think.
btw, it is time for a sleepover now! XD Could even throw in fair-going for a bonus~]
no subject
[ooc; Definitely! /o/ I'll go ahead and get started on that log.]
no subject
[...Well, it had looked like he was going to set himself on fire, if anything. But he'd just been trying to melt the ice under him at that time of the weird weather.]
no subject
no subject
Um, what kind of magicians do you know, Miss Cissie? [Ones who like setting other people on fire?]
no subject
[but her words are very sharp and loud when she sees that dragon] Get away from there, quickly!
no subject
Miss Sophie! Really, I don't think I should run from a mythical creature. It attracts their attention. [Resumes the backing-away-slowly technique.]
And it's not so much that I've seen it move before this. It's just that it's a very distinctive statue, and I'm certain that it was in the greenhouse last week.
no subject
It's made of stone, so you should be able to outrun it if you have to. Just be very careful!
no subject
Oh, yes. Um, I'd be happy to tell you about it in person once I get out of this pinch. [That, and she's a bit paranoid about being observed thanks to her note from the greenhouse.]
[Happily] That's very good logic, and sound advice.
no subject
I'll see if I can join you. I might be able to convince that statue to leave you alone for now. [and she starts off toward the area that she sees in Fuu's CAT--looking around her suspiciously as she goes]
no subject
I'm making my way towards the north-east corner of the shops, across from the theater...
[ooc: No worries! *whisper* Just don't let the observing aliens know that she knows~ XD (Paranoid Fuu is paranoid.)
And having Sophie join would be splendid! I'm not sure about jiving together what's happening with Brax with this though... Would you like to see about crashing our meeting in the tea house? (in which case it might be easier in a log? ^.^o)]
no subject
[ooc: Technically the threads don't always have to jive! You can play things out as they come. But if you and Farrah want Sophie to join you, I'd be up for a thread or a log.]
no subject
[ooc: Join us for tea! ^.^ I'm sure that poor Sophie will be properly put out when she sees Fuu happily enjoying tea instead of being chased by a scary stone Kirin? XD]
