θ-10 Come one, come all!

[As soon as the sun as set, Doctor John Smith is up in a grassy area somewhere off near the malt shop, with a peculiar setup before him. But...those who know a thing or two about pyrotechnics will know exactly what he's about to do.]

[He turns his CAT on, a big, broad and excited grin on his face]

Hellooooooooooooo Luministi!!! It's that time of year again, and as always, the Mayor has asked me to kick off the celebration with a little display. [there's a mischievous twinkle in her eye] Not even Soph knows what I've got planned this year, so! I think it's about time I show you!

[He shuts the CAT off, and there is nothing for a few moments...

...but then, there's a high-pitched whine followed by an explosion of colour! One after another, fireworks shoot up into the air, and the good doc has not skimped on them. There are ones that change colors, shoot up into different formations, some that even transform from one shape to another.

The display will go on for a good hour, but while those are going on, the festivities have officially started! Parties in the town square with food, game, and drinking booths will go on. The rides are up in full force. There's even dancing going on in the southern shopping plaza area as well as the botanical gardens. Everything the mayor mentioned and more is there for everyone to partake in.]

Mr. Mu made that one out of a new shipment of lapis. I think he did a great job with it.

[She gestures to a few pieces on the table.] I'm still learning from Mr. Mu, so I only made a few things myself. Oh, and these, too. [She points to a couple of displays behind her, including a skirt and dress.]

[Sophie holds onto the necklace but turns her attention to those pieces] Oh! You've improved quite a bit since last year. The scarf and dress especially are very well done. [she looks over the bows, considering a blue one. she picks it up] How much for the bow and the necklace?

[ooc: I'm happy to skip specific numbers, but the question seemed natural, so do with that as you like?]

Thanks, I was saving my best for the festival. The bow is [A SMALL AMOUNT OF DESIGNATED CURRENCY] and the necklace is [A MODERATE AMOUNT OF SAID CURRENCY]. But I don't think Mister Mu will mind if I give you a small festival discount.

Really? Thank you, but if you do, be sure to come by and choose the flowers you'd like from my stall. [Sophie pulls out her CAT and offers it Kanaya to scan for payment]

[Oh... Kanaya brightens as she takes the CAT.]

Yes, I'll be sure to come by. I was thinking of redecorating my bedroom and I thought a change in palette might be refreshing, so that will work out nicely.

[All done. She hands Sophie's CAT back and pulls out a small gift box for the purchases.]

Oh, that sounds like a lovely idea to do in midsummer. [she accepts the CAT, asking curiously:] What colours are you considering?

I was thinking of white, blue, and green. Light shades, nothing too heavy on the eye. Do you think you have anything that would match?

[She arranges everything neatly in the box, closes it, and ties it off with a small ribbon. All ready to go.]

[Sophie smiles brightly] I certainly do! Think about which colour you're planning for the walls, and come by when you have a chance.

[she accepts the box] And thank you very much.

I'll make sure to visit when Mister Mu comes back. Thanks for coming by. [Said with a little wave.]

Of course. I'll see you soon. [smiling, she tucks the box into a pocket in her dress as she turns to head back to her own booth]
