θ-10 Come one, come all!

[As soon as the sun as set, Doctor John Smith is up in a grassy area somewhere off near the malt shop, with a peculiar setup before him. But...those who know a thing or two about pyrotechnics will know exactly what he's about to do.]

[He turns his CAT on, a big, broad and excited grin on his face]

Hellooooooooooooo Luministi!!! It's that time of year again, and as always, the Mayor has asked me to kick off the celebration with a little display. [there's a mischievous twinkle in her eye] Not even Soph knows what I've got planned this year, so! I think it's about time I show you!

[He shuts the CAT off, and there is nothing for a few moments...

...but then, there's a high-pitched whine followed by an explosion of colour! One after another, fireworks shoot up into the air, and the good doc has not skimped on them. There are ones that change colors, shoot up into different formations, some that even transform from one shape to another.

The display will go on for a good hour, but while those are going on, the festivities have officially started! Parties in the town square with food, game, and drinking booths will go on. The rides are up in full force. There's even dancing going on in the southern shopping plaza area as well as the botanical gardens. Everything the mayor mentioned and more is there for everyone to partake in.]

[He tries to stand on his toes to look, but he practically already is due to the shape of his shoes. His heels click loudly when he comes back down from the half-inch or so height increase he managed.]

Well that just makes you seem mysterious.

Haha… are you saying you wanted to be up here, then?

[Hawk grins, tapping his own heels together, and leans forward a little more.]

Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

[His eyes dart downward, which ends up being a good thing as his popsicle was getting dangerously close to dripping on his hand. He gives it a few sharp licks before looking back up, cheeks lightly tinted pink.]

You're a bit young for me, aren't you? You should've invited someone else! Surely there must be someone you'd like to be cuddling with up there, right?

And the added mystery of being up on that roof would definitely increase your chances of success! Of course being mysterious is a good thing, as long as you don't overdo it. A little bit of mystery is fun and exciting!

[desertdaggers]

[He makes a grossed out face at that, and laughs.] Ahhh… maybe you'd like to see if it'd work for you! I… [His eyes slide away, and he folds his arms, focusing on nothing in particularly.] Mm, that'd be nice, but…

Mm. Well… I'm just about done being mysterious, I think. [He pushes himself up, and dusts himself off a little, turning to head down.]

I don't know about that, someone's been spreading some rumors about me and it might make it seem like I'm up to something suspicious.

Hah?? You're leaving? I hope I didn't chase you off...

Ahh, it might seem like it's something else, huh? That's too bad.

Haha, no, just coming down! [Hawk is a horrible risktaker who does things like jump off roofs to get down instead of taking the stairs]

Unfortunately. I'm not sure how I'd get up there anyway, unless there's a ladder or some-----

[he's fine! perfectly fine! and grinning, dusting himself off. That kind of thing is exactly why he does it, you know.]

Ahh, that just means you have to get a bit creative with your handholds!

[He nips a chunk of his popsicle off as if taking out a hint of frustration on it and rolls it into his cheek to melt it.]

Must you do that? Even though it's not my problem if you end up paralyzing yourself, you know I can't help but worry. And the only handholding I'll be doing involves another person and has nothing to do with heights.

[he feigns a look of innocence] It's faster! But you know I always appreciate knowing that you care.

Hahaha, I see! Even if they said they wanted to hold hands somewhere up high?
