luministi | Day 15 | ~ World's End Umbrella ~

[Like last time, Xion is searching out her friends. Anyone and everyone she talked to, all the people she met here -- She wants to meet with them, talk to them, find out if they're staying or leaving, say good-bye if it's the latter. Unlike last time, though, her spirits are higher. She can stay. She can stay and still be helpful, still search for the answers they've been looking for, stay and live, really live.

She's also searching for one person in particular. She has something to ask him -- to ask of him, to inform him of something, and she... Part of her is hopeful. Part of her is nervous. Another part of her... feels like she can't ask this of him. She shouldn't ask him to stay for her. She knows she's asking for Nathan, but that's what it feels like. She feels like she doesn't have the right to ask that of him. If he has something important to do at home, then she has no right at all. (If he has something important to do at home, and says no, then...) Xion takes a deep breath and lets it out. At the same time, she has to ask. She has to know. She has to find out for herself.

So, Luministi. How about one last conversation with Xion?]

[Xion laughs sheepishly and scratches the back of her head.] All I did was find the key. I didn't get us all there.

But you still did something very important.

[she pauses, curious but not sure how she should ask] Xion...have you decided what you're going to do?

I have. [Xion nods firmly.] I'm going to stay and help Nathan.

[Sophie smiles, relieved to hear that answer. she wouldn't be able to stand the thought of Xion leaving to disappear again] I'm sure he'll be very glad to have you.

We even shook hands on it. [She giggles a little, but then pauses.]

Hey, Sophie...? Since this is the last time we'll see each other, hopefully, [unfortunately... She takes a deep breath and lets it out.] Thank you. For everything.

[Sophie's surprised by that] Well, I suppose you never know, do you? But since it's likely to be a while at least, thank you as well, Xion. It's been very good to see you again.

I hope everything goes okay. For you, and the baby, and... and everything.

Thank you. I'm sure it will! Howl will have something to say about anything that does happen. [and of course, things will happen; they always do around Howl. but even that suits her just fine]

[her eyes widen, though, and she puts a hand to her abdomen] Oh, goodness. I think the baby's heard you.

[Xion blinks, and then her own eyes widen.]

H-Heard me...?

[Sophie nods] Here, put your hand here. [she gestures]

[She hesitates, and then reaches out to lightly touch Sophie's stomach.]

[Sophie moves Xion's hand slightly] There? Can you feel it? [she certainly does. her baby's strong personality is coming through already in that kicking]

[Xion's eyes widen again, this time almost comically.] I-I can! I can feel the baby moving!

[Sophie laughs, amused] I think the baby's listening to you.

R-Really?!

[she nods] Go ahead--say something.

[S-Say something? L-Like what?]

............... hi.

[Sophie chuckles] See, the baby is still kicking! You can say more than that, if you like.

Wh-What should I say? Ah... um... uh...

[Xion leans back over.] H-Hi, baby... I'm Xion.

[Sophie's expression softens] That was a fine thing to say. Now he--or she--will remember you when I tell them about this place. [her tone is firm as she says so. you will be remembered, Xion]

[Xion looks up before she can stop herself. She can't bring herself to say anything to that; she can hear the true message behind that, and, just...

She straightens slowly, then reaches for her backpack. She goes digging through her backpack until she pulls out a keychain (http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Rejection_of_Fate).]

Sophie, I... I want you to have this.

[surprised, Sophie accepts the object, holding it up to see it better] This is beautiful, Xion. What is it?

It's a keychain. My weapon, the Keyblade, changes form depending on what keychain is attached. This one turns the Keyblade into a form called Rejection of Fate.

[rejection of...well, that's appropriate. Sophie is really quite taken aback] Oh, my... Thank you. Really, very much! But are you sure you don't need this with you?

[Exactly why she chose it C:]

Yeah, I'm sure. I use Aubade, Oathkeeper, and Oblivion more than anything else now, so it's okay.
