[In the park is what must be another piece of someone's home - at least, to Jamie's thinking. He's managed to stumble across what appears to be part of some strange room. A large, hexagonal console sits in the middle of a small clearing, partially hidden by some trees. There's a white wall behind it, covered in roundels, and a coat rack standing off to one side, although it appears to be rather coat free at the moment.
The console itself has a lot of wee knobs and switches and some sort of panels on it - at least, from what he can see - and a cylindrical column in the center of the thing looks almost as if it could move up and down if it wanted. He stares at it for a moment before flipping on the CAT.]
Hey, I think I found one of those bits from someone's world. Does anyone know whose it is?
[Something about that console draws him closer, however, and he winds up walking over and reaching out a curious finger to poke at one of those switches. He mutters to himself, not realizing the CAT is picking that up too.]
And why does it look so familiar?

Hold on! [he grabs his CAT, his hand covering the pin-shaped version of it, and skids to a halt. a second later, he points the CAT at the blue police box. her windows and signs round the top give off a warm glow, though he knows now that the insides didn't come with.]
Jamie, does this seem familiar to you at all?
Hey, I've seen that before! That's that wee blue box that was on the moors.
Ohh yes, she was there! Is she ringing any other bells up in that belfry? Maybe...like what it looked like inside this blue box?
[He trails off, however, a faint frown appearing on his face.]
Aye...I was here. We were with...Victoria. And I was explaining what some of the instruments did, and she laughed.
Thatta boy, Jamie! Keep going! What else?
Then there was the talk about traveling through time. And she...she asked the Doctor how old he was. And he said he was four hundred and...no.
[He shakes his head violently, denying it.]
That can't be right. No one could be as old as all that. It's those dreams I was having, that's all.
But they're not dreams, Jamie! Hasn't your time here proven that to you? And besides, four hundred years is young! Was I really only that young when I met you and Victoria?
Aye, but... [Was this really somewhere he's been?] Maybe I've gone mad.
[he's getting closer now! thanks to the looping entrances into town, he's currently running across a bridge over the river. he can even see the console!]
No Jamie, you haven't. On a sub-conscious level, you're simply remembering. That's it!
[A glimpse of the area behind the Doctor makes it rather clear that he's going to have company, so he simply decides to wait. Once the Doctor gets there, however, he's treated to a rather baffled look.]
I don't understand, Doctor. Why I am supposedly remembering these things now?
[Action now, oh yes!]
[don't mind him if he starts stroking bits of his old TARDIS console when he gets there. he's missed it.]
Memory...is a tricky thing, Jamie. Sometimes, all it takes is for something simple like a particular smell, or a song to trigger something in the mind.
And other times, all it takes is for the central console of a certain time-travelling ship to appear in a park. [smiles]

Or maybe these socks have something to do with it. Hey, Doctor, why are ye doing that?
['That' being that rather fond bonding that seems to be going on with the TARDIS console, in this case.]

Aye, well, I suppose it's not important. Sophie made me the socks. She's put a memory charm in them. I didn't think they'd work this quickly, though.

[okay, that gets his attention] Did she? [slight pause] What else do you remember...? Does the name "Zoe" ring any bells? Or "Polly" or "Ben"?
no subject
[He had been about to say 'Polly had helped rescue us in the end', but something quite different comes out of his mouth - something that he had quite forgotten until just now.]
And Polly asked if I could not go with them rather than stay behind.

[But the headshake gets Jamie's attention, and he looks at the Doctor questioningly.] All these years and you've never what, Doctor?

[He glances over at the direction the Doctor's come from, back towards the Mayor's house and the entrance to the spacestation.] I wonder, though...if this room's here, what's inside the TARDIS back there?
no subject
[his expression sobers somewhat] Well...that's the thing. There's nothing. The TARDIS that's there is merely the outer shell. Everything else is gone, including the present version of this room. Well, sans trees and grass.]

Och, what's happened to it this time?
