Day 14 | ~ Dearly Beloved ~

[When the video feed turns on, it shows Xion standing in a room that is nondescript and white. There are no decorations, nothing displaying personality, and there isn't a single person who would think that it's a girl's bedroom. It'd be easy to assume that she's somewhere in the space station, not in her town home, if Luministi itself wasn't directly visible.

The CAT must be sitting on a table, because Xion can be seen in front of a window with her back to the camera. After a moment, she speaks, still not showing her face.]

It's weird... Isn't it? Pieces of our worlds are starting to show up in town... And here I thought once we destroyed those two objects, we'd be going home. [But... Where would she go? She tries not to think about it.

Xion shakes her head, then turns to look at her CAT.] Lately, I've been wondering... What's waiting for everyone back home? What are you wanting to go back to? More importantly... Who are you wanting to go back to? [Because everyone's got somebody, Xion thinks. How can they not?] I realized, not too long ago, that even though I have so many friends here that are so important to me... I don't know much about them. Not really. So... I want to know.

[Well. In the meantime...] I want to search for Lab #3. The sooner we find it, the better. I think that, since there are doors from the space station to our houses, maybe somewhere in town there's a door that secretly leads to that place. Maybe in the mansion, since we haven't really had a chance to explore it yet. Does anyone wanna look with me?

[well that's not offputting at all… But being somewhere like that might explain the need for individuality.]

I suppose we have rather got caught up in everything else! Me… well, once we're done, I'll be going back to Navarre to talk to Jessica, see if she's all right, and then work out what's become of the Guild.

That sounds like a plan!

Navarre is where you live? What's "the Guild"? Who's Jessica, and what's she like? [She wants to know!]

Sophie said that maybe we should split up into teams, and I think we should, too. That way we can search more places.

Haha, slow down a little! [holding up one hand] Yes, Navarre's where I live. You don't know what a Guild is? It's… well, essentially a group of people of the same profession. Jessica's… [He falters, but not for long.] She's my best friend's sister, she's like family. She's kind, and more cautious than I am.

I agree! So then, who are you going with? Who else is going to be looking?

[Xion nods in response to his answers, mostly satisfied.] So... You're part of a Guild, too? What do you do?

I'm going with Fuu. So far, Sophie, Jamie, and Croix all want to help look, too.

[after a few moments]

And the Doctor, too.

Mm, that's right! Me, I go out on raids, for the most part. And what about you?

All right, I'll see who'd like to go with me!

He seems like the sort who'd really be interested in this kind of thing… He'd probably be able to explain some of this.

Raids? For what? -- Ah... [Xion balks.] It -- It doesn't matter.

[Quickly, she moves to the next topic. And it's obvious she likes talking about the Doctor.] Yeah, he's really into science and technology and those kinds of things. And he's really smart, too! [♥♥♥]

Taking what people didn't deserve from them. No?

[Hawk blinks for a moment, then smiles.] Sounds like you've spent a fair bit of time with him… You've probably learnt a lot, too, huh?

[pause.] So... Stealing...?

I did last time we were here. I haven't seen him as much this time...

Yeah. And then there are others who're supposed to distribute what we take to people who need it… but that had stopped a little while before everything happened, so we need to start those again.

Mm, I thought I hadn't heard of much… I hope he hasn't been too badly affected by everything that's happened.

Everything? You mean being here?

[... that makes her frown a little.] I don't know... [When she saw him before Audrey showed up... But she's talked to him since then, and he seemed to be okay...]

Not so much… we were having problems back home. The Guild got taken over by people with completely different goals, and they controlled everyone else into doing their will.

Then you should check! I'm sure he'll be glad to hear from you. [beaming]

What are their goals?

You're right. I-I will.

To gain the Holyland, and the Mana Sword. One of them said something about a Dark Prince, but all I'm able to draw from that is that they're his servants.

[…ohhhh, right. snaps his fingers.] That doesn't make a lot of sense because you don't know my world, right?

So, then, where should I start?

Ummmm... "Holyland."

Alright, well! The Holyland isn't somewhere you can get to by ordinary means… how it came to be doesn't appear in stories much, but I assume that when the Goddess turned herself into the Mana Tree, she split off the land the Tree grew in as well, so that no one would be able to disturb her without going through a lot of trouble first. It's not quite attached to the rest of the world, you see- we had to open a gate to get there.
