luministi | Day 14 | ~ Dearly Beloved ~

[When the video feed turns on, it shows Xion standing in a room that is nondescript and white. There are no decorations, nothing displaying personality, and there isn't a single person who would think that it's a girl's bedroom. It'd be easy to assume that she's somewhere in the space station, not in her town home, if Luministi itself wasn't directly visible.

The CAT must be sitting on a table, because Xion can be seen in front of a window with her back to the camera. After a moment, she speaks, still not showing her face.]

It's weird... Isn't it? Pieces of our worlds are starting to show up in town... And here I thought once we destroyed those two objects, we'd be going home. [But... Where would she go? She tries not to think about it.

Xion shakes her head, then turns to look at her CAT.] Lately, I've been wondering... What's waiting for everyone back home? What are you wanting to go back to? More importantly... Who are you wanting to go back to? [Because everyone's got somebody, Xion thinks. How can they not?] I realized, not too long ago, that even though I have so many friends here that are so important to me... I don't know much about them. Not really. So... I want to know.

[Well. In the meantime...] I want to search for Lab #3. The sooner we find it, the better. I think that, since there are doors from the space station to our houses, maybe somewhere in town there's a door that secretly leads to that place. Maybe in the mansion, since we haven't really had a chance to explore it yet. Does anyone wanna look with me?

[mostly to himself] But I've not seen anything from Scotland...

[He shakes his head then, and turns his attention back to Xion.] Aye, well, the people I'd want to go back to are well away by now, but I can help ye look, if ye like.

Yeah. Like this room here? It's my old bedroom.

[=x] Maybe you just haven't found it yet.

Well away...? [He means... They're gone? :C ] I... I'm so sorry.

Maybe so. [Strangely, he seems more upset about that than about the others being gone.]

Aye, well, if the Laird and Kirsty have gotten to France, they'll be safe enough. There'll be friends there to help them.

France...? [blink. blink. processing.] Oh! You meant -- like, they moved!

Well, of course I did. What did ye think I meant?

N-Nothing, nothing!

[It takes Jamie a minute to puzzle through that reaction - and then it occurs to him what Xion must have thought.] Oh! Ye thought I meant that they'd not survived. No, last I saw, they were both alive.

[Still, a faint shadow crosses his face. So many of the others weren't now.]

I'd left, to see the others back to their wee blue box, so I couldn't say for certain. I think they'll have gotten away, though.

[^^;] I'm glad.

Blue box? [headtilt]

Aye, well, at first I was only planning on going as far as the cottage, but then we went to this place where there was a box, about so high.

[He gestures, indicating the height of the TARDIS.] It looked like it was a bit snug for the three of them, but they didn't seem worried about that. It was very strange.

[headtilt] Three of... who?

[Oh, that's right, he hadn't said who the others were yet.] Ben, Polly and the Doctor.

The Doctor! I thought you hadn't known him before you came here?

I... [He hesitates, trying to figure out how to best explain the situation.] The man in Scotland called himself the Doctor, but he didn't look a think like the Doctor here. He was shorter, for one. Not to mention older looking, and he wore this daft bowtie.

The Doctor here says he was that man, though. And that we traveled together. Except...I don't remember any of it.

That's weird... [D: Xion doesn't know what to make of it. How could the Doctor be so different? What happened to Jamie's memories...?]

Aye. I thought the man was daft, at first. But now...I'm not so sure.
