◌ 021 ◌ Spare me the thought
[After just over a week - has it really been that long? - of feeling like this, Fuu is fully exhausted. Yet she couldn't help but go out every day to sit and stare at the theatre, the pub, and the space between them.
Today she spontaneously decided to make a delivery - Mister Braxiatel will find a neatly wrapped package on his doorstep, containing a small variety of pastries from the tea house and a box of English breakfast tea.
Well, perhaps it was not too spontaneous. She'd been thinking about the past a lot, and he was a large part of the particular incident she was mulling over.]
[Biking away from West Luministi Greens on her way to sit across from the theatre and pub again, she suddenly starts peddling at a break-neck speed towards that place-- and stares at it for a long moment.
Trembling, she slumps to the ground and curls up into a ball, face buried in her knees and hands pressed to her ears.]
[[ooc: She'll stay like that for about 15 minutes before pulling herself together enough to get home. (Unless of course someone comes across her like this, or she nearly ran you over with her bike and you've come after her!)]]

[Although the thought of going there doesn't calm her any, it doesn't make her more upset either. Yet as they walk along suspicion makes her ask,]
Why are you helping me?

[Good to know that he doesn't think she's the liar, then. But- he's not lying to her just to get close to her, is he? ...Either way, she should keep with him and see what he does.]

He takes them to the library, and heads inside, leaving the bicycle outside.]
Anything you think you want to check out particularly?

[At his question she looks over with a touch of surprise.]
You really want to check something out? But then, I suppose, while we are here...
[Trailing off she looks over the room. The phone ringing has not gone away, but it is fainter. And memories of her hours working and reading here are much more pleasant, even if they don't particularly calm her.]
Ah, but no, I have nothing in mind. You?

Funny thing about this library - you really can't judge a book by its cover. Like this town. Or its people...

Ah, then we dip into them!
[OH LOOK a book on illusions! …mostly stage magic, though, which is a little disappointing. It pretty much proves Fuu's point, though. In quiet agreement:] Someone does seem to be concerned about someone else.

"Someone?"

[She looks at him a touch suspiciously, but her own hand goes towards her purse where her card is. However she doesn't take it out.]
Wait. Before you show me. Do you think you can trust me, no matter what anyone else says?

Thank you, Hawk. [She then brings out her card (http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t114/vampwrite/Luministi%20Stuff/Week3plotcard-A-typeoption.png) to pass to him with both hands.]

[She sighs, then grins a little. The paranoid edginess has not left her, but she still finds the humour in the situation.]
So, if we defy the cards, we will certainly make the best team!

I'm sorry. I- I'm sure you mean well.

You... know how I usually am. It seems that... something has been wrong with me. Very wrong. But it's not stopping.
Perhaps- I should just go home and rest.
no subject
That might be the best idea. Would you like company on the way?
no subject
Yes, please. Thank you, Hawk.
[She blushes as her anxiety jumps again, but sticks with her decision. Maybe, in some small way, she can fight whatever is happening to her. Slowly she extends her hand to him, a tentative invitation for them to walk hand-in-hand.]
no subject
[He takes her hand, squeezing gently for a moment, and leads the way out of the library.]
no subject
Rather than babbling nervously like she might usually in such a situation, she's quiet as they walk.]
