[Xion turns the video feed on. It's midday and her hood is back up, but she's sitting outside on a bench across the street from the phone booth.]

Thank you... whoever found the antidote. That was... close. At least, it felt like it.

[She lets out a slow exhale.]

Anyway... I think I found the source of the ringing. [She turns her CAT so it catches sight of the phone booth.] There's a phone in there that's going off all the time. But when I picked it up, all I heard was beeping. When I hung up, it started ringing again.

[She turns the CAT around again.] Did... Anyone else get that message? [She fiddles with her CAT to find the text, and then she reads it aloud.] "No time to talk. Find the booth, don't get caught. Come between midnight and one. More to come later."

... pretty straight-forward. But with that curfew... [Xion frowns.]

But I think it's important. This is like the music inside the greenhouse. It's not going to just go away. [She pauses, then mutters bitterly:] Not yet, anyway.

[She shakes her head.] The regular people can't hear the phone or see the booth. Whatever is going on... It's up to us to figure it out.

[continues to hold her for as long as she needs.] So...what do you say we get you started on really living, hmm? We don't know how much longer we'll be here.

[Well, she's not going to move away any time soon. >>; She's not used to having someone who Understands to cling to.]

Really... living. [She says the words like it's a foreign concept. She thought she was living. What's the difference?] How'd we do that? [It feels forever since she's said "we" like this. Even though she's sure she's being silly about that.]

[glances down, opens his mouth, then closes it]

I--well...there isn't a specific manual or anything. You just live like the next moment is going to be your last. What do you like to do for fun? We'll begin there.

[For fun...?] Um... well...

... my friends and I... after work, we'd always sit on a clock tower and watch the sun set together. We'd have sea salt ice cream, and just... talk, and laugh about nothing.

[smiles] Well...there's a clock tower on the town hall. Been up there once. And there is the malt shop takeaway window--oh, and the gelato shop! Both are quite wonderful. We could do that if you'd like.

What's gelato?

It's the Italian answer to your conventional ice cream. Well, not yours specifically. Anyway, it has a lower butterfat and sugar content and has a denser, richer flavour. Well, it also depends on what kind you get. Some can be quite custardy, but that's thanks to the inclusion of egg yolks at a certain stage in the process.

[... insert blank look here]

[pulls a face] Maybe we'll just stick with regular ice cream for now.

O... Okay.

Small steps and all. We'll save gelato for another time! [pulls away a bit, looking down at her with a smile on his face] I know you'll love it. Or at least I hope you would do.

[... Xion can't help but smile back a little] Okay.

Ah, there we go! [pulls back, holding her at arm's length] There's that smile.

[Xion blushes and ducks under her hood.

... her hood...

She takes a deep breath and looks back up at him.] Would you... like to... see Sora?

[gently, letting his hands fall to his sides] I would.

[... Xion nods. And takes another deep breath.

And she lowers her hood.]

This... is Sora.

[murmurs under his breath] Still so young...

[in his normal tone] And so we meet properly! Hello again. So that's what you look like on the outside now, huh...? Well, not that it really matters. You could be in the body of a seven foot gorilla wearing a frilly skirt; doesn't bother me.

[... Xion can't not giggle a little, flushing a little. What... does she say to that?]

... hi.

[grins] I've got to say, though... It is really great to see you without that hood up. I was beginning to think you were just a mouth and a chin! Well, not really, but I wouldn't have been surprised either if that had been the case.

[Xion flushes more.] I just... The Organization is going to be looking for me. And so is DiZ. So I thought I'd stay hidden, and then it was just... comfortable.

... and then Roxas and Larxene...

[starts rubbing the back of his neck] Well...I hate to say it, but if you wanted to be inconspicuous, walking around in an all black coat like that is a bit counter-productive.

[fffff she should just stay pink] It... worked where I come from.

To be fair, it'd probably work in quite a few places I've been to as well. [smiles mischievously] As I've said before, I'm a traveller, so blending in and not blending in is an area of expertise, you might say. [though he chooses not to blend in nowadays--and in doing so, nobody really notices him. funny how that works.]

What kinds of worlds have you seen?

Ohh, all sorts! Worlds where the beaches are made entirely of diamonds; where thick, luscious jungles conceal invisible people and their tribes; where an entire continent is devoted to amusement parks the likes humans have never seen! You name it, there's a good chance I've been there. Or rather will go there in my future.

Ohh! Nice~ We'd love to see you there!
