[In the park is what must be another piece of someone's home - at least, to Jamie's thinking. He's managed to stumble across what appears to be part of some strange room. A large, hexagonal console sits in the middle of a small clearing, partially hidden by some trees. There's a white wall behind it, covered in roundels, and a coat rack standing off to one side, although it appears to be rather coat free at the moment.
The console itself has a lot of wee knobs and switches and some sort of panels on it - at least, from what he can see - and a cylindrical column in the center of the thing looks almost as if it could move up and down if it wanted. He stares at it for a moment before flipping on the CAT.]
Hey, I think I found one of those bits from someone's world. Does anyone know whose it is?
[Something about that console draws him closer, however, and he winds up walking over and reaching out a curious finger to poke at one of those switches. He mutters to himself, not realizing the CAT is picking that up too.]
And why does it look so familiar?

But how could I remember something like that when I've never seen this before?

Maybe you've got amnesia, but you're getting better.

Say for some reason you're right. What would be the point of it?

Boring. [A beat, then he completely switches conversation tracks!] So where is it from?

Be glad he didn't push a button in the process. It was tempting, okay?]I saw Soubi's apartment here. It was above one of the shops. That's not from here, that's from back home. So... where is this from?
no subject
Although it's probably a good idea he didn't press buttons. Who knows what might have happened?]Aye, well...it's from someone's home, I guess. [He fixes Natsuo with a pointed look.] And before ye say that it's from mine, there's nothing like that in Scotland.

And I don't want ye to touch it because...because...[There's that hesitation again, as that memory of his Doctor comes to mind. A firm note comes into his voice, then.]
Because it belongs to a friend of mine, that's why.

[Wait. Waaaait. Natsuo stares at Jamie, alarmed.] You don't have TV? So you don't have video games?! Boo! How do you live?!
no subject
I live just the same as anyone else who doesn't have whatever that is. I take my turn with tending the land and doing the other work that needs doing. Or if I'm not doing that, I practice my pipes and play when the Laird needs me to.
no subject
What's a Laird? And what kind of pipes? [His catlike ears perk up. He's genuinely curious and interested!]
no subject
Bagpipes, although I can play a few other types. I'm the Clan Piper, ye see. The Laird...aye, well, ye could say he's the one in charge.

I'd gladly show them to ye otherwise.

[He's not so sure of that anymore, and some of that doubt creeps into his voice. But the battle he remembers well enough, and that uncertainty slips away as he continues.]
We'd gone to join the other clans to fight, on Culloden Moor. It was raining, a cold rain with more than a hint of sleet to it. There had been an attack that had taken place the night before, and we were sore tired from it, but the English were not about to let us rest.

Oh. So you fought in a big battle.
