[Sophie is in the Town Square again, though this time with a very large shopping bag set on the ground at her feet. while she is standing calmly enough, there are some subtle signs of the anxiety and exhaustion that she's been feeling lately. her hair isn't quite as neat as usual, and her dress looks a tad wrinkled. in fact, it's a new dress--forest green, edged in lace, but a very simple design overall. the skirt of it is very loose, clearly designed with plenty of leeway, for a reason that those looking closely at her might notice. at this point in her pregnancy, Sophie has started to show a small baby bump]

Hello again, everyone. [she clasps her hands in front of her as she talks, that calm expression becoming a bit more nervous. she glances around, as though concerned about being overheard, before she continues] Many of you asked me for charms before, and I've finished them all. If you'd like to meet me in the Town Square, I have them here.

This would also be a good opportunity to discuss other recent...events, as well. In person is best, I think. [she smiles somewhat grimly]

[Sophie makes a face. she's been doing much more resting lately than she'd prefer] I'm perfectly all right, but thank you. I have been resting regularly.

And you? How have you been?

If it's okay, then yes, please. Can I... I mean could you show me how to make them, too?

[she still looks a tad worried.] I'm glad, then.

[and, taken utterly aback. she's still not really used to others being concerned about her well-being. a small smile touches her lips.]

I've been doing well, thank you. [still sad from hearing someone's been killed. but it's turning into determination to do something to honor that person somehow.]

[smiles reassuringly] Of course it's okay! That's why I'm offering. Is there a certain piece of clothing you'd like the charm sewn into? I could make you a dress, if you'd like.

Ah...I'm sorry, but it isn't really something I can teach. I make them using my magic, you see.

I'm glad to hear that. Have you had a chance to see Xion?

Oh, thank you. If there's anything you ever need, please let me know. Ah..

[looking thoughtful, she considers this.] I... have only ever had this dress.

[fingering the hem a little.] If it's not too much toruble, I think I'd like a new one.

...Magic? I see. [she closes her eyes.] I know some, but...

Probably not enough to weave charms like that. And yes, I have.

[smiles warmly at her] It will be my pleasure, Naminé.

Oh, that's not what I meant! [her cheeks redden a little in embarrassment as she tries to explain] My magic is a bit...different, from what you usually find. And I don't have any formal training, so...honestly, I really can't teach magic to anyone. I'm sorry.

[a shy, but equally warm smile.] Thank you so much!

Ah...? [and now she's curious, even as she understands better.]

It's okay. What else can you do with your magic?

[her magic is.. common by her universe's standards. but she does have her own natural talent that can't be taught, too. maybe miss sophie's magic is like that.]

[Sophie hesitates, not used to explaining her magic to others. then again, this girl seems to be nothing but kind and curious] Well, basically, all my magic is the same thing--I can talk life into things. For example, I can sew a dress and tell it that it will protect the person who is wearing it.

[if asked, she'd explain what she can do in exchange.]

That's amazing! [her face lights up.]

[smiles. she supposes it can be amazing, though she really needs to get better at using it properly] Thank you. What is your magic like, Naminé?

[but... something about sophie kindles a small ember of trust in her.]

[surprised] Black magic? Really? [Naminé doesn't strike her as the type]

Memory? That sounds very interesting. What exactly is it that you do?
