[Sophie is in the Town Square again, though this time with a very large shopping bag set on the ground at her feet. while she is standing calmly enough, there are some subtle signs of the anxiety and exhaustion that she's been feeling lately. her hair isn't quite as neat as usual, and her dress looks a tad wrinkled. in fact, it's a new dress--forest green, edged in lace, but a very simple design overall. the skirt of it is very loose, clearly designed with plenty of leeway, for a reason that those looking closely at her might notice. at this point in her pregnancy, Sophie has started to show a small baby bump]

Hello again, everyone. [she clasps her hands in front of her as she talks, that calm expression becoming a bit more nervous. she glances around, as though concerned about being overheard, before she continues] Many of you asked me for charms before, and I've finished them all. If you'd like to meet me in the Town Square, I have them here.

This would also be a good opportunity to discuss other recent...events, as well. In person is best, I think. [she smiles somewhat grimly]

Alive, which I think is about as much as I can reasonably ask for at the moment.

[He spares a glance at her belly and one of his brows raises] You're beginning to show.

[frowns] We shouldn't have to hold ourselves to such a low standard. But I do understand what you mean.

[she smiles a little self-consciously, reaching a hand to her abdomen] Yes. It was a surprise, but I suppose I must be at the right point.

The situation being what it is, it's a standard I'll settle for.

I suppose. How are you faring?

[since Mu is the closest thing she has to a doctor here, she has a feeling it's best if she's at least somewhat descriptive] Just fine. Tired, mostly. Sometimes ill in the mornings, but I'm used to it now.

Good. Ginger helps with nausea, and it's safe to take if you feel you need it. I've been looking in the library for information to help you as well.

[surprised] Have you? I do so appreciate it. I wish I knew more, but I'd always assumed that I would be able to talk to Fanny when the time came, and... [she shakes her head] It all seems to be happening so fast.

Such things often do, I'm told.

Yes... [still, she does miss Fanny something awful at the moment--and Howl. but she has more important things to focus on than those feelings] Have you found out anything that I should know?

Nothing of particular note, especially if you've not noticed any problems yourself.

[nods, relieved] Thank you again.

Would you like me to make you a charm? It's the least I could do.

It's alright. I wouldn't even know what to have the charm do.

[curiously] What do you mean? Do you make charms?

Oh no, but I would not know what sort of charm to have you make.

Oh, I've been making simple protection charms--just in an article of clothing or a handkerchief. In a town like this, one can't be too careful.

[lamb_of_gold]

Then I suppose I could use one, if you've the energy to spare.

[fortune_sought]

[smiles] Certainly! What would you like me to put it in? It would be easiest if I could borrow an article of clothing that's similar to work off of.

I think I shall leave that decision to you. [his way of saying "surprise me"]

As for what...Hm. That may require some thought.
