[Ichijou looks not unlike an overworked secretary, as he's balancing what looks like two CATs in his hands and watching over a switchboard intently. He doesn't even look up as her message broadcasts, but he tries to maintain a pleasant, professional tone in his answer.]

Regardless of where you should be you are here. While I'm not responsible for that, allow me to be the first to apologize for it.

And I'll also apologize for the poor timing. This is typically a much more calm and pleasant place - I promise! We've just run into a massive system failure. Whoosit? Oh! A new person! [With grace that betrays her erratic personality, she quickly hops (almost like a glide) to her feet and waves.]

Someone newer than me, at least! OooOOH! That bird is adorable! Is he your pet?! [She coos at the small creature, instantly knowing it's not a monster like the creatures of Endiness if it's behaving so tamely for the girl.]

Oh! By the way, nice to meet'cha! I'm Meru! [She lifts on one tiptoe and twirls with a flourish of a curtsy at the end.] Finest dancer in all of Endiness!

N-No, Naty is a fighter, not a pet. [It's automatic, Leaf's eyes hardening just a bit. She can't help it. Having a pokemon just for a pet is looked down on. Even a family's pet pokemon can be used in battles, and many are.]

Endiness? I-Is that you're um... world?

[Leaf is still adapting to the fact that there are other worlds out there. But... she's trying at least.]
