Either way, there is a noticeable stutter in her voice. More than likely nerves and the shock of ending up in a place so different than where she was headed. She's also fiddling with a strange looking sphere, and there's a bird sitting on her shoulder.] Though the rentoraa paperweight is nice. It is a rentoraa right?

Um. [Another fiddle with the pokeball in her hands then Leaf sets it down. Yea, she's still nervous, but... she did see the news about the life support systems etc on the CAT before she started this.] I-f there is a-anything I can do to um. [For his part, he figures it's probably the politest thing to say. And Kevin has Karl, and addresses him as his friend, so.] Ah, really? [He leans in a little, peering closer.] That's pretty incredible. It must be hard for his opponents to land a hit.

[Polite, yes but for Leaf, it's extremely disconcerting, as the only ones that address pokemon like that are... outcasts, or Rangers.] Yes, at times it can be, given most underestimate it's power. Even so, Naty preforms as expected on the battle field no matter conditions.

[He nods.] I expect so! If people underestimate you, you can take advantage of that. Do you fight, too?

Of course. [There's something a smirk in that smile, but only just.] One must take every advantage they can on the field. O-Otherwise... [A (callous) shrug.] Oh umm.. N-no.. I don't fight. I just direct them in battle.

Yeah. [He offers a grin, eyes flickering for a moment, and shifts his weight to his back foot, deliberately casual.] Is that right? Against others like them, or…?

Y-Yes. A-Against others. Naty is one of my best fighters.

Huh… It sounds like your world's pretty interesting.

Maybe you could show me how Naty fights sometime, when everything's a little calmer.

[Leaf just grins, though it's just a touch strained. Her world is interesting yes, but there's also stuff of nightmares.] I don't mind, though unless you have another fighter, Naty shall fight my other pokemon, Hawk-san.

[Strangely enough, there's not much remorse there over the fact that she might just be pitting team-mates and possible friends against one another. It's something that she's used to doing if it crops up and she'd justify it as training anyway.]

[He raises his eyebrows, but goes back to smiling after a moment, and shakes his head.] No, just me. So is that a general term for them? Should we met up for this?

[It's like sparring against friends, isn't it? Hawk doesn't see anything wrong with that, either.]

Yes. It's short for umm .. [And there is a blank for three seconds. She knows this, she really does, but it's been years since she's really heard the term. Finally though -] Pocket Monsters.

[A nod and a grin.] It'd be easier. I don't think that Ponpon would fit in here either.
