Theta Sigma Alpha and Theta Sigma Beta:
There are plans afoot to contain the problem, and apparently sending the topiary attackers back to the greenhouse is among them. I've offered my help in turning the glass of the greenhouse into a semi-solid energy field, which oughtn't be particularly difficult for me, except, of course, that I don't have the supplies for it. I didn't have them in my pockets when I got here. A lack of forward thinking, I know.
I also know that you are tediously unable to have pockets without stuffing them to the brim with miscellany. If you've anything to contribute, please do, difficult as you may find it.
Hoping for competence despite precedence,
B

Is that right? I love a good plan! Have a few myself, in fact.
But shame on you for not thinking forwardly, Brax. Better than backwardly or sidewardly, or any other -wardly for that matter.
So! [grins cheekily] Theta Beta, just what do you have on you? [not that he doesn't already know or have an idea]

Oi, I think you mean Theta Alpha.

Children, please. Are you going to contribute anything useful, or shall I build the first wooden transthermic regulator?

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing you try, Brax! You've certainly got your pick of trees around here.
[quickly adds as an aside to Nine:] And I'm Alpha because I was here first, I'm older and have better hair than you.
filtered forever because I am lazy :|
I've got some my sonic screwdriver, some explosives, and a banana, among other things. Oh, and a vial of anti-plastic. Don't ask.
[to Ten] I ought to be Alpha cause you're a regeneration after me, I'm younger, and my hair's not sticking out all over the place. [a pause] Least, it doesn't feel that way. [someone still has yet to actually peek in a mirror >_>]

Oh, and thank you, Thete, for being so much more helpful than your older counterpart. What a welcome relief.

If it's a static electricity you want to generate, I just might have a few things that'll help.
[but now he also knows approximately when you're from, Nine, and to prove he's not below childish tactics, he resists pointing out that they could always blow up a bunch of balloons and use his former self's head to generate the energy they needed.]

And what sort of things have you got, Doctor? [he looks a bit dubious that you'll have anything more useful]

I'm sure you both know the theory behind what I'm trying to do. Unless you didn't pay attention to the many excellent uses for glass. [Like using mirrors to talk to past and future versions of yourself, Irving?] Why don't you both drop by the greenhouse to help set it up?
[He realizes this could be inviting disaster, but oh well. They'll survive.]

And any century is better than the 32nd. ...Or is that the 14th? Always difficult to remember. As for what I have on me, you'll just have to find out at the greenhouse. Or wait until you regenerate. Whichever one happens first really, especially at the rate you're going...
[he grins, shutting off the video feed and makes his way to the greenhouse. he's actually not too far since he's been inspecting the bare pedestals in other parts of the botanical gardens]

[he shuts off his own CAT then, running to the greenhouse to find them]

So! Brax... [pauses for a second, drawing out the sound of the 'x'] Braxy Braxiatel, what have you done so far, hmm? What parts do you need?

are we changing the order now? :x
Ever been to the weapons factories at Villengard? There's a banana grove there now.
Errr, dunno? >.>;
Yes, yes, we all know about the banana grove at Villengard. And I recommend the holly tree. They make the best wands, so why not use it for the energy helix? Could even use one of these. [takes out a couple spare devices he's been holding on to for a rainy day and hands them over to Brax.] Figure these might help. Your basic biodamper, miniature matter transmitter that could do with a tune-up, things of that nature.
I know nothing about anything.
Thank you, Thete, Thete.
[He is ignoring the competition now because he has Stuff and he needs to get to work on programming the EM field to structure properly over a large range of variant mediums. Integrating it with the glass will be particularly tricky, but he is indeed very very good with glass.]

...Is that it?
Nine/Brax/Ten?
:|b
Sounds good! :Db
Well, we are pretty resourceful, aren't we? [smiles smugly, clapping Nine on the back] Needs must and all.

Right, I believe if we combine these two[grabs two of the devices], take apart the components from the activator, and use some of the spare, yet sophisticated, 51st century wiring, we could be in business.
