[Once again, Kon's in the Talon, drinking a huge cup of coffee (which in itself's a bad sign - Kon doesn't really like the taste of it). He stares at the screen blankly for a moment before he goes ahead and asks:]

I know I wasn't here that long, but this Filippo Rescari's offer sounds ridiculous. He said he was the guy that tortured you guys last year - so was he the one that put everyone on reality TV? [There's a long pause as Kon realizes belatedly...] And did he put us on reality TV AGAIN?

I'm kinda wondering now since he was able to watch us and stuff. It's like we're all in one giant episode of the Truman Show - only we know this place's fake and we need to get out fast. I don't know about you guys, but the Talon and Professor's car and Willis's house and Ichijou's weird tub of blood... all those things being here aren't good.

I like the Talon, but I didn't want my world to be affected by this stupid experiment too. Are we still looking for that lab? I think I want in. And if we're not... well, come down and have some coffee. It'll all be on the house. [Nevermind that it was already free in the first place.]

I see. And...people believe in that sort of magic? But nothing else?

Yeah, because they don't think it's real. [He shrugs.] They think they're "tricks," people manipulating physics and our perceptions to create 'magic' that looks real but actually isn't.

[fortune_sought]

[her expression shows just how ridiculous that sounds to her] That seems a very strange idea for them to have. [she pauses thoughtfully] Though...I suppose someone of your talents would seem a bit odd in Ingary as well.

[tactilekonesis]

[He gives her a wry grin. Gee, she thinks it'd be seen as weird? He would've never guessed.]

No! You mean Ingary doesn't get flying people often?

[fortune_sought]

[thoughtful] Well, a wizard can use a spell to fly. And there are creatures that fly--like djinn. [her expression sours] But I don't believe there are any people who can simply fly on their own, no.

[at which point she takes a final sip of her tea. glancing down at the cup in surprise, she realises they've been talking for longer than she expected] Oh...goodness. [she leans forward, dropping her voice and keeping her words purposefully vague just in case someone is listening] Conner, perhaps we should begin our, ah, search now. Before...it gets late.

[Oh whoa. They'd been here for that long?

Kon nods, reaching for her cup before he puts their things in the sink. He'll get them later, once they've finished their search. Quickly, he floats towards the door and holds it open for her.] Right! Definitely. After you?
