[Once again, Kon's in the Talon, drinking a huge cup of coffee (which in itself's a bad sign - Kon doesn't really like the taste of it). He stares at the screen blankly for a moment before he goes ahead and asks:]

I know I wasn't here that long, but this Filippo Rescari's offer sounds ridiculous. He said he was the guy that tortured you guys last year - so was he the one that put everyone on reality TV? [There's a long pause as Kon realizes belatedly...] And did he put us on reality TV AGAIN?

I'm kinda wondering now since he was able to watch us and stuff. It's like we're all in one giant episode of the Truman Show - only we know this place's fake and we need to get out fast. I don't know about you guys, but the Talon and Professor's car and Willis's house and Ichijou's weird tub of blood... all those things being here aren't good.

I like the Talon, but I didn't want my world to be affected by this stupid experiment too. Are we still looking for that lab? I think I want in. And if we're not... well, come down and have some coffee. It'll all be on the house. [Nevermind that it was already free in the first place.]

Sounds good. Do you need directions for the Talon or do you think you can get there just fine?

I think I can manage!

[and okay maybe it takes him a little while longer than someone who's been here a while but that just means he has more of an idea where some other stuff is too] Hey!

[tactilekonesis]

Hey. [Kon grins, holding up a mug of steaming hot cocoa for John. He's even added marshmallows, just because he could.] Did you get lost on your way in?

[fireflyheir]

[John brightens immediately, reaching out to take the mug.] A little, I guess! I'm still finding my way around. [And he hasn't used the map that much.]

You'll get there soon enough. I can't tell you how many times I got lost my first few weeks. [He grins, taking a sip of his own hot chocolate.]

At least you know the area pretty well. Or you will, if you don't right now.

Heh. Good to know I'm not alone.

The advantages of a small town, right?

Definitely. There's still the space station, but that's also just as easy to figure out once you start exploring it a little.

That's good! Still kind of weird that somewhere like this has that kind of thing attached, but… [there was that lab he found.]

Do you think whatever we'd be looking for is in there?

[tactilekonesis]

Probably. I can't imagine another lab being tucked somewhere in here... most of the buildings're open, and we've torn the town apart by now.
