Shield 03 | audio + action

[Kon doesn't really have TIME to sit and put the video on, so it's just audio stuff today. There's some wind interference, but that's less because of the weather and more because... well, he's flying while he records this.]

Hey guys.

I don't know how many of you are going with Nathan, but those of you who aren't, listen up. If you remember seeing Proctor - he's the guy that's been giving us strange messages - he's apparently dead or in a coma or pretending to be dead. [Wow, that didn't even sound right in one breath. Kon sighs loudly.] I'm not sure what, but if you want to help me locate his body, let me know.

I'm in the town proper, but it might be in the space station somewhere - Ichijou and everyone's got Lab 3, so I'll leave that to them. If you've got something, give me a ring. I'll have this thing on.

[With that, he clicks the feed off and continues his search. It's not hard to spot Kon, considering he's making his way around several times over. He looks a little frazzled but not completely exhausted: he's used to doing strange things, and maybe he should be questioning the fact that Ichijou asked him to to do this, of all people, but he isn't.]

Do you have an idea of where to begin looking?

I don't think he's out here in the town. I'd have to double-check the buildings to be sure, but the space station sounds like our best bet.

Shall I meet you there, then?

That'd be good. I should be at the entrance in a couple of minutes, tops.

[looks like someone else has the same idea! the Doctor, however, is just making his way out onto the spacestation's observation deck, when he stops cold upon hearing Kon's message]

Oh, hello there! You're looking for Proctor as well? Well, what are you doing in there, eh?

[He switches to video, now that he's slowed down long enough for interference.]

I was just talking to Ichijou, actually. I promise, I wasn't planning to stay here for long.

[Now that he realizes it, taking orders from Ichijou is kind of weird.] But yeah, I am. You think there'll be any clues on him?

[matter-of-factly] Oh yes, definitely! That's why I'm here! I recognize it from the last time I was here. [or at least he thinks he does, but he's going with the positive spin on things right now]

You said you've already spoken with Ichijou? Have they found anything?

You do? That's awesome! I've never been down to the station, so this'll be my first time there.

[He shakes his head.] Nothing. That's the big discovery: there's nothing valuable in there.

Oh, it's absolutely brilliant! You'll love it! But don't get distracted by what you see. I can show you around later if you'd like, but not right now.

[he frowns, gaping a bit] Nothing at all? You're not pulling my leg? [he doesn't wait to hear the answer to that.] Well, they're probably not looking hard enough. But you! Well, since we're both looking for Proctor, you'll want to find the entrance to the maintenance area. It's very easy to find. You'll find it near the labs here.

No distractions. Got it.

[He'd respond to that, but the Doctor speaks too fast--] Maintenance entrance. That's marked pretty clearly, right?

Aye, if we can at least figure out where his body is, maybe we'll find some sort of clue we can use. Could ye use another hand searching?

Yeah, the more the merrier! I don't know this place as well as everyone else, despite whatever happened over those past two weeks, and definitely not the station.

I'll be there as soon as I can, then.

[~~It didn't feel quite right making an Avengers Assemble pun with Kon here.~~ Even though he's heard rumors about this space station, and knows it exists... well, it's quite another thing to be here in person. He stops and stares blankly at his surroundings for a little bit before he shakes his head.

Right, he promised everyone they'd meet in the observation deck and look together. Thanks to his superspeed, he's there sooner than he thought, but he's definitely not the last to show up either.]

Huh. [He stops, staring out the window and gazing out at the stars.] It really is out in the middle of nowhere.

[When she heard and smelt Kon arrive, Terezi turned her attention to him with a grin.]

It makes me wonder how they even managed to do something like this! I mean, on their own. It's not like I haven't been on 'someplace in the middle of space, trapped out of nowhere' before.

[Mu slides in shortly after, heralded by the metallic footfalls of his cloth. He comes to stand near the window, and smirks at the comment.]

Most things in space are.

[Jamie makes it in just afterwards, breathing a little heavily as if he'd run at least part of the way there. He still manages to catch the tail end of Kon's statement, and there's a nod in response.]

Aye, it seems so from here, doesn't it? There's planets around, though. Ye just have to be able to get to them.

[It's still so surreal to watch all of it. Kon whistles, before glancing over at Jaime.]

Maybe we can figure out how to get there later. [He's quiet for a moment, before he asks:] So where should we start looking? This is the first time I've been out here.

[Well, there is the TARDIS, but Jamie doesn't mention that, turning instead to the idea of where to look.]

Someplace out of the way, I would think. It doesn't make sense for him to be out in the open. Maybe he's down on the maintenance level somewhere. There's a lot of places there ye could put someone there, I'd say.

[She nods.]

That sounds like a good place to start! Any objections?

Nothing bad happened, but
nothing especially good happened either.

The important things that were in here are gone now.

All that's left is a table with some empty picture frames on it.

I'm speaking with our captor right now, I'll let you know if he says anything important.
