[For days, the zombie invasion of the Luministi town and spacestation has gone on, but through various means, there have been less and less zombies appearing by the day. And now, only a few remain, stubbornly shambling after their prey--

--or rather they were. With a bright, blinding flash of light, their bodies instantly change. No longer are they dead and decaying, but are that of full-fledged living beings with absolutely no desire for brains or flesh of the living. In fact, while they take a moment to blink and look around to see where they are, these townspeople merely shrug and continue on with their business like they did months ago. For them, it's back to their normal routine, and if asked, they won't even remember being a zombie. No one does. Even those who were killed during the fighting are back, right as rain.

But something else has changed.

Something big, yet the sound was so soft and heard by none. A door has been opened...

And from the surprise left in the town square, it seems other metaphorical doors have been opened as well, a fact that the sender of a text message to all of the CATs, is very well aware of:]

Plot Details: Just Breathe

Welcome to Luministi's Fourth Wall event! If you have never participated in 4th wall with us before, the portion above the cut there is an IC continuation of the story that has been in the making for the past two seasons (a summary of which can be read here if you are curious, but it's not required reading!) Unlike past events, the town is not only fully populated with people who will just talk about mundane things about Luministi, but the pathway to the spacestation via the Mayor's House has been opened. How long that will remain open is anyone's guess, but for now, take advantage of it!

Also, visitors have a choice of physically appearing in the town square or communicating from their own world via the CAT.

Now, for those of you new to the game, the CATs, or Communications Audiovisual Transmitters, are personalized communication devices about the size of your palm, and for this day only, visiting characters will have this device. They'll have found it randomly on their person with no idea how it even got there. From a video broadcast standpoint, you'll be able to see the the immediate surroundings of the person you're talking to. More information about the CATs can be found on the FAQ page, which also has some handy tips about how the game is run and other questions about the game that aren't answered elsewhere in the mod journal. But if you don't see your question answered anywhere, please don't be afraid to ask!

In-game time, this event lasts a day, but you can tag for however long you want!

If visiting players do app into the game they will be able to remember visiting the town (or viewing it in a video feed), as well as everyone they met, the moment they show up in the town of Luministi for real. Yeah for ready-made CR, right?

And for current players, consider this a plot break! I'll have the game's next proper plot update for you guys tomorrow, so enjoy the breather while you can!

This event is the last one the game will hold, unfortunately, as Luminsti is in its final season. All of the storylines and mysteries introduced back in June 2010 when the game first opened will be brought to a close, and how it all does will be up to everyone involved. There are choices to be made and tasks that need to be accomplished--but only if you do it. Not doing something also will result in something, but whether it's for better or worse, well... You'll just have to come along for the ride and see, won't you?

His fear capacity maxed out earlier in the week and he has to recharge. Instead he proceeds to the next best emotion and unleashes the overly-dramatic exaggerated sigh of a man who has had enough of this cryptic nonsense.]

[Oh look, a person! He just knew this tree would be the greatest idea. ... He's also completely oblivious to the fact that a skeleton in a tree might be, well, just a little bit abnormal.]

Oh, you there! [Time for overexcited waving.] Hello, down there! Could you tell me where this is?

A friendly skeleton?

[And a bit louder:] Sorry, I thought you were some... one else. This place is called Luministi - it's in a very remote location, so I doubt you've heard of it. No one else has.

Luministi?

[Thaaaat isn't through any of the holiday doors! Except wait, maybe it's - Oh. No. Nope, this definitely doesn't look like what would be through that door with the turkey. ... Unless there are turkeys around here!!

He's taking another glance at the city and - nope, definitely no turkeys. There goes that idea.]

I believe you're correct, this doesn't seem to be any place I have stumbled upon before. Although - a remote location, you say? Does that have a name?

I believe it was called "Eta," or more properly "The Eta System" - something like that. The only "landmark" I've been able to see out of the windows is a rather lovely nebula whose name I never learned.

I hate to change the subject, but what exactly are you doing up there? When I first spotted you I thought that you were the victim of some kind of strange murder. Though I suppose the apparent reality of the situation is no less unusual...

I am up here to figure out where I am, of course! Although I must admit you have a splendid imagination - or do you often have murder victims climbing trees here?

That's not what I meant at all! I thought a body, or rather you, had been placed up there in order to scare us- well, me particularly. Someone has been having quite a bit of fun teasing me with death threats lately, but you seem far too well-mannered to be involved in that sort of activity, despite being a skeleton.

Which baffles me endlessly, by the way.

Good. And I should hope that it will remain that way for quite some time as I'm surrounded by enough stressors as it is right now.

"Serious" is a complete understatement! They've been more than "serious!" I've had more near-death experiences recently than I can count on one hand! I actually died a few days ago!

That's something abnormal in most places. It's most intriguing that it happens here - and for you to still seem normal as well!

[... he may be a bit disappointed at that. No slime or skin discoloration or mutated limbs? That's no fun.]

Well yes, it is highly unusual - but it was also the reason that this town was built in the first place. I was just as surprised as anyone when I awakened in perfect condition.

Aside from all of the psychological trauma, anyway.

We had a bit of an infestation of zombies recently, and they apparently found my belly to be quite delicious. If Mister McCrimmon and Agent Washington hadn't intervened at that point, I wouldn't have been so normal looking at all afterwards since I also would have become a zombie. A messy, torn-open, violent--

[He's getting a bit nauseated just from thinking about it.]

But I couldn't stand to have my exquisite beauty tainted by such a thing, so I had one of them destroy my brain before I could enter such a state.

A zombie infestation? Brilliant! - They destroyed your brain, you say? Did they perhaps smash it open, or maybe found a way to remove it first or -

[Okay, he's getting a bit ahead of himself there. Backtrack.]

- Never mind. But the zombies! Would any of them still happen to be around?

[Because yes, he would love to meet them as well.]

[That first part was starting to make him visibly upset, so changing the subject was probably a good idea!]

I haven't seen any, so none that I know of. But I don't exactly know what might've happened to them since I was busy being dead and all that and nobody informed me of anything other than letting me know that I can roam around without anything ripping me open again.

Haha… well, nominally, I suppose! It's not exactly what I'd call home, though.

So your hometown is elsewhere? How did you arrive, then? Do you enjoy it here?

Mm, that's right! In another world entirely, in fact. [He flashes a grin, and tucks his hands into his pockets.] Ah… I'm not too sure how it works. We saw someone we think did it, but we don't know much about him.

[He considers, chewing on his bottom lip.] …I'm not sure. I've met people I wouldn't have otherwise, but sometimes, the things that happen here…

It's all a mystery, then? Exciting! Do tell, what sort of things would you be referring to?

Haha… pretty much! [pushing his hair out of his eyes and blinking a little. You're… pretty enthusiastic, huh.] Well, there was the lack of food when we came in this time… and then, just before you all got here, the place was full of zombies.
