luministi | [video] S3-1: What's going on?!

Unngh...wha-? [she shakes her head rapidly, trying to clear the spots from her vision] Oh, boy! That’s only making it worse! [she holds her head in her hands as her vision clears and she is able to take in her strange surroundings, quickly jumping to her feet and flailing her arms about her while glancing about wildly] This doesn’t look like Tiberoa!

[she scampers about the room, looking for anything familiar when a man with a smiling face pops up behind a strange barrier and begins speaking to her; immediately her hands fly to her hips as she glares at the man with the all-too-cheery attitude] Good morning, YOURSELF! Now where the heck am I?!

[flailing her arms once more and beginning to advance towards the man, as he continues with his speech, completely ignoring the girl in front of him] EXCUSE ME! [not taking notice of his words, her frustration only grows as she continues to be ignored, tapping the barrier between her and the man in front of her]

I asked you where I am! So shut UP already and ANSWER ME!! [producing no result from her actions, the man behind the barrier suddenly disappears, leaving a black void in his place] HEY! Where do you get off just LEAVING like that?! I DON’T THINK SO!!

[her eyes narrow, all patience gone, as she snatches her maul from its resting place before twirling and whipping it right into the barrier, which instantly shatters from the force, revealing shards of glass and wiring on the inside] ERRRGH! WHERE - in all of Endiness - AM I?!

[realizing the barrier was just some strange sort of box with no people inside of it, she heaves the giant hammer onto her shoulder and takes another look around; eyes landing on the room just beyond she mutters to herself] Well, maybe someone is in here...

[finding no one else in the room beyond, her frustration begins to grow again until she eyes the basket on the table and rifles through it, throwing objects out right and left to land on the table or couch nearby until her hand finds a cool, metal device which begins humming at her touch (and unbeknownst to her, begins recording publicly to the the other residents)] AUGH! What the heck are you?!

[she jumps back and holds her maul in front of herself, threatening the thrumming creature not to come any nearer as she slowly backs herself out of the room through the door] Gooooood...THING. Just stay riiiiiiiiight there.

[finding herself assured that the strange metal creature is not aggressive, she turns on her heel and heads out the door, determined to figure out where she is - not realizing the CAT finds its own way of attaching itself to her skirt to travel along with her and continues recording]

[trying to keep her cool, Meru wonders if she has just been somehow transported to some other area of Endiness, like Serdio maybe? she's never been there...] This doesn't look ANYTHING like Endiness, though!

[flailing her hammer about, she stands in the doorway of "her" townhome, Luministi Greens West A12, and just looks about, wondering what in the heck she is supposed to do next!]

[staring at the...THING, the "words" it displays suddenly change, but are as equally cryptic as the first; she squints, trying to discern if it is a language she knows] THOUGH! And, and...NOT and...or and...you... There ARE words I know here!!

[with a small hop and twirl, she punches one of her fists in the air in triumph before facing the creature again - still refusing to touch it, but leaning in closer] But what the HECK does the rest of this say?!

[She flicks it onto video and there she is grinning at Meru.]

The rest of it was, "your face smells bad but you seem to have promise". Since we're all being honest here!

You seem new. Who are you and where are you from?

[she jumps back as suddenly a person is before her, though slightly transparent, brandishing her hammer menacingly] Where the HECK did you come from?!

[the realization hits her slowly that this is the person behind the strange language that had shown up on the creature's face]Wait, so that...THING isn't a monster?? Or, are YOU the monster?!

[she takes a small step back, taking in the grey skin and horns warily, before she catches on to what this "new" creature had said to her] Who are YOU to say MY face smells you...you... [she stops, really unsure if it was a compliment or an insult, considering the "you have promise" part]

[though still eyeing this creature-monster-person thing warily, she lowers her hammer slightly, but once asked for an introduction she immediately perks up] I'm Meru! And I'm the best dancer in all of Endiness!!

[a big grin and happy twirl accompany this before she again raises her hammer in a slightly defensive stance and eyes this person cautiously] What do you mean where am I from? New to what? And wha- I mean, WHO, are you?!

[meru you suddenly get a long string of cackling for your trouble.]

Terezi Pyrope, resident enforcer of justice!

You're in a town called Luministi, where you're expected to be a subject of the mysterious man's and a guy named Resarci's secret plan, whatever that may be. Anyway, it looks like you're new here!

Correct me if I'm wrong.

[Winces a little at the cackling, but gives a sheepish grin in response - hoping it's just this Terezi's way of laughing and not as evil as it sounds.]

Enforcer of justice? I can totally get behind that sort of idea! [Her grin widens more as she moves her hammer from its defensive position to one where she can lean against it for support casually.]

[But it doesn't stay for long, as her features slowly fade to a frustrated frown, brow furrowed, as the grey-person-creature-thing in front of her continues speaking.] Yeah, I'm new to this... Luministi? Never heard of it...and I don't like the sound of it! Do you know anything about this secret plan?? Are they gonna...

[A wince as she uncomfortably shifts from foot to foot, averting her gaze.] Are they going to do awful things to me??

Hardly anything at all concerning their ultimate plan, other than what I've told you.

[when meru asked that question, she feels it's her job to be as honest and blunt as she can.]

They probably will try to! But it's up to us to make sure that they don't succeed in doing that and maybe much more, especially if it's within our power to do something about it.

One of those ways for us to be successful and go back "home" is to make sure we work together to find out everything we can and stop these criminals.

[Holding her hammer to show her usefulness, she grins confidently.] Well I can certainly help in bashing any of these baddies! Just...do we know what we can do to stop them?

I'm definitely up for doing whatever it takes! After all, I was trying to explore my world of Endiness and had just started before I was dragged here! Sure...I was looking for adventure and all... But this isn't the kind of adventure I had in mind! So, what can I do to help?!

[A confident grin crosses her features; she's great at working together for a common goal - and feels she has the power to succeed. She just need to be told what has to be done and she'll do it!]

Right now, what can be done is to be on your guard, and to learn as much as you can. Don't trust anything that's actually from this world, including the regular residents you might see. The only thing trustable here is people like us, those from other worlds, and anyone else claiming to help us is immediately suspect.

Resarci and his men have left their tracks virtually covered up, in the sense of being able to track them down personally. But they are certainly planning things while we're forcibly stuck in this town without any other clues that may be able to point us in the right direction.

[Her grin slowly fades to a frown at hearing that they don't really have any leads or the ability to find the guys that trapped her here. Her shoulders slump and she lets her hammer hit the floor with a loud 'thonk!'] I'm guessing there's no easy way back home, is there?

No, there isn't. People here have been forced back here for a total of three times, and I'm guessing that means someone intends for us to stay, but not for any good reason.

[Her shoulders slump. She really isn't so into this adventure anymore. She JUST started exploring Endiness - and now she's been swept away to some unknown place with no way of getting home?! She can't even muster the energy to flail.] Oh...

[Finally trusting the creature, no device, no CAT...thing...she reaches forward and inspects it. Her voice is much more somber than before.] Thank you for your answers. I'm sure I'll see you around!

[She tries a grin and almost succeeds in pulling it off - wide and genuine, but it begins to waver just before the video cuts out.]
