[Although the CAT is on and streaming, Mu doesn't seem to be paying much attention to it. It can be seen that he's moving through the town at quite a clip, and he doesn't seem to be very happy. Unlike the last time people saw him, Mu is actually in full cloth now, though his helmet is tucked under one arm.

If anything, he just looks bewildered, and maybe a little bit angry.]

This...this can't be, I was just...

[He's silent for a beat, coming to a stop and composing himself, and finally looking at the CAT.]

Why are we back here? I've heard plenty of chatter, so I'm sure someone has an answer.

[Mu's comment comes right as Sophie stumbles and has to use the wall to catch her balance. she's going to need some time to get used to her lack of a tail] Gah! [and now she glances down. yep, she forgot about that] Confound it! [she turns to hurriedly start rummaging in drawers. you might want to turn off the video feed, Mu] I'll be there shortly, in any case! Are you coming?

Then I'll meet you outside the Mayor's House!

[and she proceeds to change into a blue dress. hopefully you turned the CAT off, Mu]

[lamb_of_gold]

[Well he turns off the video feed, at least. The Audio keeps going.] Alright. I will meet you there.

[Mu probably reaches the Mayor's House before Sophie, considering she has some trouble with balance at first. but she seems to have solved that problem by the time she arrives. she hurries toward Mu]

Mu! Have you gone inside?

[lamb_of_gold]

[Mu's still in full cloth by the time she arrives, and he turns to greet her.] Not yet. Hello, Sophie.

[fortune_sought]

[Sophie stares at that cloth as she draws close] Goodness! Are you all right? Has something attacked you? [she glances around suspiciously]

[lamb_of_gold]

Sophie. No, not here. I was wearing this when I arrived, that's all.

[fortune_sought]

[she sighs, relieved, though she feels a bit foolish for being so startled] Well, that armour is quite impressive. If there is anyone barring our way inside, perhaps we can convince them to change their minds.

[she gestures at the house in front of them, not one to waste time] Shall we?

[lamb_of_gold]

I like to think I'm capable of being intimidating without-

[He just noticed something.]

You've had your baby.

[fortune_sought]

[that brings Sophie up short, worry flitting across her features] I--yes. Morgan was born a few weeks ago. [her expression darkens] And I refuse to allow this town to keep me from him!

[lamb_of_gold]

[Open mouth, insert foot. WTG Mu.] I'm sorry. We've escaped this place before, an we will do so again.

Let's continue.

[fortune_sought]

[firmly] Yes, we certainly will. [and she nods, starting toward the Mayor's House with a will]

[Mu follows behind, keeping pace with Sophie. When they approach the house properly, he steps forward to try the door. To his surprise, it gives without a fuss.]

Hm. No secrets in here, apparently.

[fortune_sought]

[Sophie frowns, feeling rather dubious about the fact that the town is just letting them in] None in the front of it, at least.

[she pulls the door open, looking around it suspiciously as she steps inside, but she sees nothing out of the ordinary] How very peculiar... [she glances back at Mu] We should go to the, ah, space station. [and without further ado, she starts to walk across the entryway]

Odd. Be on your guard. [But he follows a step behind her, keeping an eye out for anything out of place or dangerous]

[fortune_sought]

[as Sophie continues through the Mayor's House, she is surprised that she doesn't find anything out of the ordinary--until they reach the sealed door to the space station, at least]

[but Sophie is not to be deterred by a closed door. she steps up to it and says, firmly:] Now, door, this just won't do! You're meant to be an entrance, after all. It's time you let us through.

[she waits for a moment, eyeing the door. unfortunately, nothing happens]

[lamb_of_gold]

[My frowns a bit and tries the door himself, pulling with his inhuman strength. When it doesn't give, he tries it again, this time his Cosmo flaring to augment his arms. Still nothing.]

They don't want us in here, it seems.

[fortune_sought]

[Sophie scowls angrily, her tone swiftly escalating to a shout as she says:] Of course they don't! We have to get in before we can leave. So of course, in their wickedness, they've blocked it!
