If I knew I would only have that long back home, I don't think I would have bothered.

[Annoyed, but... well, apparently not surprised. He shakes his head.]

Who else is here? Maybe we should talk. [slight hesitation] Is anyone going to go see the dedication celebration?

It's happened before. This place brings people here, and now we have to find a way to get back home.

And while we're on the subject? I wouldn't say that anything around here is exactly normal.

Great. First I wake up in some strange house with a freaking gift basket, and kidnapping isn't exactly something abnormal around these parts...

If this time is anything like the last, something important might happen at that celebration. I think I'll be going. If you'll be there, then I can tell you more about this place.

Yeah, I'll probably be there. Why miss out on a party, right?

... Just one question. The food here's not poisoned or anything, is it? Because it'd kind of suck if we couldn't eat.

I'd rather not take my chances this time.

Before I showed up here, yeah. Apparently, it happened before. So you're right - not taking the chance is probably a good idea.

If my friends were here, they'd probably test the food before attempting to eat it... Makes me wish I'd paid more attention when they did it.

[sighs] But uh, I'm Conner, by the way.

Test it? Well, maybe if we had some sort of scientist around...

Well, you never know until you ask, right? I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty good at agricultural stuff.

I’m not even good at that, so you’d be far more helpful there. [He smiles, just a bit.]

I kind of lived on a farm back home. It'd be pretty bad if I sucked at keeping our crops and livestock healthy.
