❧ Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood
[Nothing much has changed in the interior of Dr. Caligin's office since Nathan gave everyone leave to make their decisions. Nathan is still there waiting by Lab #3. If they are returning from doing whatever around the spacestation, they'll notice that all of the photos on the wall have been removed and stacked neatly on the desk, along with all of Caligin's possessions that had been shoved into a desk drawer. (Of course, if one had never left the office, one would have seen him pulling all of the photos down.)]
If you have made your decision, please let me know now. And, uh, if you haven't for some reason and want to ask me something, I guess you can do that too.
So what have you decided?
[ooc: When your character is ready to leave, please write "Going home!" in the subject line of your comment and that will be your exit from the game for the season! And if your character is staying, please write "Staying in this universe!" in the subject line of your comment once you are done with your conversation with Nathan. (This will also be your "exit" from the game, but just in a different sense.)]

I want this to be a pleasing and inviting sanctuary, not some frigid stronghold. Especially if I'm not going to be alone all the time.

[To demonstrate, he holds up his hands to show off the soft, perfect skin and the slightly long and meticulously manicured nails.]
These are not the hands of a person who could do something like that. About the "worst" I could manage is putting up some wreaths and ribbons. So it'll be fine, I'm sure! The town could probably tell me if I've overstepped some kind of boundary anyway, since it seems to have a mind of its own sometimes.

-Of course, if things get too sparse and I'm not comfortable your visits will constantly be interrupted by my various complaints, and I won't make treats for everyone. Cake and peace will be conspicuously absent from your base of operations if I'm unhappy, and I'm certain that nobody wants that.

Fake townspeople shouldn't be necessary to keep me from being lonely. Knowing that they're "faux" townspeople... Well, that kind of makes having them as my only company seem pathetic more than anything. I'll pass.
One other thing, though - should I know where the door that I shouldn't touch is? That isn't something that I'd like to have to make guesses about.

Is that all, then?
