[There's a slightly green boy squatting just at the edge of the lake, giving it a very suspicious look. He warily dips a hand in the water before scooping up a bit to examine. Not seeing anything immediately wrong, he takes a few more handfuls and splashes himself with them, not paying much attention to the fact that he's still fully dressed.] Where am I? This is too big to be the pond...
((OoC: Not going to type out the lisp, but he does have one, just to mention.))

[Obviously, Natsuo only caught the last few words. He makes his way over, then cranes his neck to look at the water over the boy's shoulder. Yes, that means Jimmy has a boy with cat ears all up in his personal space.]
What's here? Is it something fun?

I think so. I wasn't trying to get here, though. I was trying to get to the pond.

Did you try to leave the town? Are you all right? [she slows as she nears him, huffing a bit from the run, her expression full of concern. to her mind, clearly he's splashing at the edge of the lake because the town dumped him there when he tried to leave it]
no subject
Yes? [Of course he's fine.] I wasn't trying to leave, I was looking for the pond.

Why were you running?

[actually, now that he mentions it, she doesn't think anyone's explored the bottom of the lake before--but that's not exactly the sort of question you pose to a child, so she doesn't mention it]

It's a nice lake, though.
