[Croix is sitting in his living room, still. He takes a deep breath and gently clears his throat before speaking.]

Excuse me. I have a question for anyone who was here once before.

[An awkward pause - he's trying to find the wording... but with a shake of his head, he gives up on it. May as well be blunt - maybe weirder really has happened here.]

Do people come back to life in this town? Because, I think... that might have just happened. To me.

[You can tell from his expression that he's completely serious, if a little disturbed and clearly very confused.]

[the Doctor glances up at the new video communication, setting his tea down. his expression is far more serious than Croix has probably ever seen him look]

The only person who technically did was Caligin himself, but from what I gathered, he was still alive when his double was killed, and the double certainly didn't come back to life.

As for you, well, how about you tell us what happened then, hmm?

[grandbellknight]

[A firm nod, and then a sigh. He's still pretty unsure about the whole situation, and it doesn't sit well with him that he probably sounds like a nutcase, or some naive person jumping to conclusions.]

I was returning home after spending some time investigating. Everything was normal, but then all of a sudden, I couldn't walk anymore. I collapsed on the road and... [He trails off... but then picks up again with a shake of his head.] It wasn't sleep. It certainly wasn't exhaustion, I know what that feels like. This was different, I honestly... felt myself go.

After that, I woke up in my house. A whole day has passed, too. ... There's also this.

[And he holds up his wrist for the Doctor to see the mark.]

[he's silent while listening to that]

So, you passed for a day and then came back, eh? I've done that before--well, it was more like a part of a day in my case and it wasn't here, but that is very strange.

And so is that. [points a finger at the mark.] I gather from your reaction to it that it wasn't ever there before.

[He's about to ask the Doctor about the whole coming-back-to-life thing, but decides to answer the latter part first. He nods, running his thumb over the mark.]

It wasn't. I have a feeling it isn't just for a fashion statement either.

[bit_impossible]

Nah, wouldn't think so. Not even the most garish of us wore anything with a clock motif. Bit obvious and obnoxious, actually, but never mind that. [waves a hand impatiently]

Curious, though, that you turned up back home. I wonder how you managed that.

[grandbellknight]

Yeah, definitely curious. [Pause] And a little disturbing, maybe. I don't know, could there be a such thing as a considerate murderer?

[bit_impossible]

[raises an eyebrow] "A considerate murderer"? [scratches his chin] Well...it's rare, but it can happen every now and then. [gives Croix a curious look] Why do you ask?

[grandbellknight]

Well, I wasn't exactly able to make it here on my own. [He rubbed the back of his head. Really, this was so weird to even talk about.] Maybe a considerate murderer would have brought me back here.

Quite possibly! They're...not exactly common, but they're not rare either. Well. Depends on their mood as well, I suppose...

Anything else you can tell me about it? Funny taste in the mouth, ringing of the ears, spots in your eyes? That sort of thing?

[grandbellknight]

[Croix takes a moment to think. He really wants to offer up something helpful, but really, what is there? He shakes his head.]

No. Nothing else happened. [He sighs.] This is all I've got.

[bit_impossible]

[pulls a face] Well, that's good at least. Saves you a trip to the clinic!

This might be a bit odd to ask, but have you gone back to the spot where you died and investigated around there at all?

[grandbellknight]

[The bright side of things, huh? It makes him crack a faaaaint twitch of a smile, and he shakes his head.]

I haven't. I only woke up a few minutes ago. You might be onto something, though. I'll go look there shortly.

[bit_impossible]

[he smiles. he's usually onto something, but oddly, people don't listen to him as often as they should] Good man! I can guess what you might or might not find there, but well...nothing replaces actually seeing something with one's own eyes.

[Croix listens to most people. He's good at that.]

In that case, I'll contact you after my investigation.
