❧ Homeward bound
[Audrey waits outside the door to Lab #3. she smiles--she finally has something to smile properly about again] Go on in if you're ready, and take care, my darlings.
[the door opens to reveal a silver, cylindrical room within, and on the opposite side of the room is a small observation room, walled off with glass through which the real Dr. Constantine Caligin and Verita can be seen, waiting. Caligin moves out of that room, into the main area; the warm smile on his face from so many past announcements is tinged with sadness and regret.]
I heard everything you said before, and I thank you. Saying "I'm sorry" is in no way sufficient enough for what you were put through, but I really hope you do believe me when I say that I made the biggest mistake in my life. Grief, like love, makes us all fools. I just know that if you had met my father, you would have understood why I started the project in the first place.
But now, if you can head into this chamber, I can get you home. If you need a minute to say any last good-byes to anyone, do so now and let me know when you are all set to depart.
[ooc: Once your character is all set to leave, please write "Ready to go home!" in the subject line of your comment.]

I just... wanted to say good-bye to everyone first. [doesn't hesitate to squeeze his hand, either.]

[he's got a guess - he hasn't been dead so long he doesn't know - but he'll hear it from her mouth]

then he actually grins] You got weird tastes, girl.

Letting go reluctantly, she stands back and looks at him again.] I'll miss you, you know that?
no subject
he hasn't felt that in a while.
...it's not bad.
wonders of wonders, he leans forward, putting a hand on her hand for just a second] Just don't waste your time lookin' over your shoulder. Don't wanna be like that stupidshit mayor, do ya?

[so weird, this one.
so weird.
she gets a laugh] Go right ahead. I won't stop you.

and here he thought all humans were predictable. he's not the type to miss anyone or anything, but he'll remember.
that's better, far as he's concerned. he leans down so that she doesn't have to hop up quite as far; their foreheads end up bumping together]
Keep strokin' my ego like that, girl. I'll definitely remember it.

I wouldn't stroke it if I didn't mean it.
... So, I guess this is where we go our separate ways. [she doesn't want to leave him - and it's so obvious - but she doesn't want to stop him from doing whatever it is he needs to do.]
Ready to go home!
there are things he needs to do.
people he needs to murderunfinished business. ]Later, Cissie.
[ and there he goes ]

Mister Jaegerjaquez! I don't suppose another apology would make up for what was done, would it?

he ain't in the mood ]
Save it. Just get me out of here and you'll get a pass.
