From a more logical standpoint, I don't see what he has to gain by deceiving us right now. I don't think there's any benefit for him to lie to us at this point. Our current captor wants us to stay put, and Nathan has expressed interest in letting most of us go. Resarci wants us to defy both of them!
It's horribly risky. Clearly he knows that. Why would he be opposing two powerful entities like them if he himself wasn't in a desperate situation?
