[For days, the zombie invasion of the Luministi town and spacestation has gone on, but through various means, there have been less and less zombies appearing by the day. And now, only a few remain, stubbornly shambling after their prey--

--or rather they were. With a bright, blinding flash of light, their bodies instantly change. No longer are they dead and decaying, but are that of full-fledged living beings with absolutely no desire for brains or flesh of the living. In fact, while they take a moment to blink and look around to see where they are, these townspeople merely shrug and continue on with their business like they did months ago. For them, it's back to their normal routine, and if asked, they won't even remember being a zombie. No one does. Even those who were killed during the fighting are back, right as rain.

But something else has changed.

Something big, yet the sound was so soft and heard by none. A door has been opened...

And from the surprise left in the town square, it seems other metaphorical doors have been opened as well, a fact that the sender of a text message to all of the CATs, is very well aware of:]

Plot Details: Just Breathe

Welcome to Luministi's Fourth Wall event! If you have never participated in 4th wall with us before, the portion above the cut there is an IC continuation of the story that has been in the making for the past two seasons (a summary of which can be read here if you are curious, but it's not required reading!) Unlike past events, the town is not only fully populated with people who will just talk about mundane things about Luministi, but the pathway to the spacestation via the Mayor's House has been opened. How long that will remain open is anyone's guess, but for now, take advantage of it!

Also, visitors have a choice of physically appearing in the town square or communicating from their own world via the CAT.

Now, for those of you new to the game, the CATs, or Communications Audiovisual Transmitters, are personalized communication devices about the size of your palm, and for this day only, visiting characters will have this device. They'll have found it randomly on their person with no idea how it even got there. From a video broadcast standpoint, you'll be able to see the the immediate surroundings of the person you're talking to. More information about the CATs can be found on the FAQ page, which also has some handy tips about how the game is run and other questions about the game that aren't answered elsewhere in the mod journal. But if you don't see your question answered anywhere, please don't be afraid to ask!

In-game time, this event lasts a day, but you can tag for however long you want!

If visiting players do app into the game they will be able to remember visiting the town (or viewing it in a video feed), as well as everyone they met, the moment they show up in the town of Luministi for real. Yeah for ready-made CR, right?

And for current players, consider this a plot break! I'll have the game's next proper plot update for you guys tomorrow, so enjoy the breather while you can!

This event is the last one the game will hold, unfortunately, as Luminsti is in its final season. All of the storylines and mysteries introduced back in June 2010 when the game first opened will be brought to a close, and how it all does will be up to everyone involved. There are choices to be made and tasks that need to be accomplished--but only if you do it. Not doing something also will result in something, but whether it's for better or worse, well... You'll just have to come along for the ride and see, won't you?

[she frowns, closing her eyes briefly as she tries to keep herself from panicking. she takes a deep breath and asks:] What do we have to do to get there? It's very important that I get back to Naggiar as soon as possible.

There really are a lot of different shops, aren't there.

I've not seen him since he made the announcement, just before the zombie-things came. I thought maybe he'd come out here once he could just to get away from them, but...

[He frowns, not liking the possibilities.]

Maybe he's hiding. Or maybe he'd not managed to fight them off.

Yeah! Like people with grenades.

A laboratory? [Doc, in contrast, sounds unnerved] What was Wash doing to you in a laboratory?

[fortune_sought]

I...suppose I might be. [she likes that explanation better than the alternatives, at least. she'd hate to think that Kon is preparing to try for a kiss]

[she smiles] Yes, we did. [but there's sadness in her eyes as she thinks of her missing husband] And his name is Morgan. I wish you could meet him! He's...well, he's only weeks old... [her smile slips]

[fortune_sought]

[she blinks, confused by the question] You mean...paid to be your friends?

[fortune_sought]

[she nods] It's a very...well-to-do town. In fact, there are some places here that don't exist where I'm from, such as a theatre that shows sorts of illusions of events known as "films."

Is there anywhere in particular that you'd like to go to start?

[manicurious]

W-well, not explicitly. I had a bodyguard who always seemed very concerned about my happiness and well-being.

[manicurious]

What would make you assume that? We just happened to be trapped in there together. Aside from initially scaring me by trying to blow up the door that sealed us in and the resulting enormous mess, he was really quite pleasant.

[sandy_claws]

Is that so?

[Hm. ... Noted! Maybe he will have to, ah, experiment with sugar skulls in the future~]

And why would you want to get under my skin?

[sandy_claws]

It's all a mystery, then? Exciting! Do tell, what sort of things would you be referring to?

[manicurious]

To the best of my knowledge.

Why wouldn't I want to get under your skin? It seems like you'll regularly be getting under mine, whether intentionally or not.

I've already got one person who deliberately gives me nausea at every opportunity - I haven't figured out his weakness yet. Dissuading a possible second, or at least figuring out how to facilitate some sort of revenge, seems like a good idea.

[resonatingdreams]

A theatre that shows illusions? That's very different from any magic I've ever seen.

Hmm... Perhaps the tea room, then?

[Jamie may not be too good at explaining either, but he gives it a try anyway.] Och, don't ye see? It's not a matter of anyone owing anyone else anything. I did what I would do for any of my clan who were waiting for the Phantom Piper to come for them. It'd not be right for ye to have died with me not offering ye that wee bit of companionship.

And if I minded doing more, I'd not have offered that, either.

[bonnypiperlad]

Just poison ye? That's not much better, if ye ask me.

[Still, maybe if it's only poison...] Although would that mean you'd not come back and try and eat people after?

Perhaps, but I've not seen him. Not since just before those zombie-things attacked. Has he come out here at all that ye know of?

That's right. And the poison's easy enough to cure, we all learn pretty early on what we need to take in case we come across something that'll cause that.

[desertdaggers]

Haha… pretty much! [pushing his hair out of his eyes and blinking a little. You're… pretty enthusiastic, huh.] Well, there was the lack of food when we came in this time… and then, just before you all got here, the place was full of zombies.

[manicurious]

I really don't see it.

I suppose it makes sense that you would be so kind to a member of your own clan, but that's the thing - I'm not a member of your clan, am I? I'm simply an acquaintance.

But what's that? It "wouldn't have been right?" Does that mean that you were only acting out of obligation?

[He seems unusually upset by this idea.]

If you're only going to offer kindness out of obligation or pity, you're better off giving nothing at all!

[He'll ignore how you're talking about Pokemon right now, he knows why you do that.]

That's right. And one student in particular talked a lot about an older brother, right?

[Action] ack forgive my lateness, I am so sorry

[He'd try to understand, but he's never seen something like you before.]

Uh... Hi? [You seem intelligent, at the least. But you're no Pokemon he's ever heard of.]

[he raises an eyebrow at that question] I thought you said you know Wash.

Wait. [suspicious] What do you mean "pleasant"? Like...pleasant as in he took a break from trying to blow you up?

If you weren't wearing a helmet that would undoubtedly break my nails, I'd slap you upside the head for those comments.

Agent Washington did NOT try to blow me up at all. Not even a single time.

He did shoot me in the head, but that was ONLY because I told him to. And it was the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me! How many friends do you have who would shoot you right in the face if you told them to, huh?

That certainly doesn't seem like a very pleasant way to live. Is everyone here like this?
