I think I know what you mean, kind of. Not that I ever had to carry a weapon, but when I first lived on my own I was forced to get pretty clever and approach things with caution.

Though a giant hammer certainly would've helped make others take me seriously... I probably couldn't even pick that thing up if I tried, let alone swing it.
