[When Flynn's video cuts in, his expression isn't exactly concerned, but it's well on its way past thoughtful and into contemplative. Back behind him in the small space the screen can show, the shops and restaurants plaza can be seen as Flynn walks along the street. He pauses near the malt shop, an odd expression passing over his face just as he's about to say something. He hesitates another moment, casting a curious expression at the shop in question before forcing himself to continue walking and, in doing so, focus on his CAT again.]

I'm not sure I'm really the guy to be saying this -- maybe everyone's already noticed it -- but after I talked with our lady Fuu about it I started looking around the restaurants here in town.

[A dizzying panorama of the ones lining the street flashes by. Flynn still hasn't gotten the concept that he needs to be slow and steady with the video instead of jerky and sickening when he moves it.]

There's nothing new. At all.

Not to alarm anyone, but what's that mean if we're stuck here a while? I was thinking we might want to consider taking what food we can find and moving it to a central location. It's never too early for rationing, right? Personally I prefer not starving if it can be avoided.

[That said, he stops again, looking back over his shoulder -- he really wants to go back and see what's up with the malt shop, but he's visibly resisting while he waits for a response.]

...that being said. Who's up for helping me round up what food we can find in this place? Just as a precaution.

Somewhere central would be best, but I'm a little worried that we could get locked out of it. The perishable stuff could be trouble, too. Maybe one of the houses would work, though.

I'll help look! I don't know if we're going to find very much...but maybe some of the houses no one lives in will still have food inside.

I think the houses are our soundest bet. Does anyone have a list of which ones are still empty? That... might be a good thing to have before we go picking a random house to dump full of food.

We'll worry about the perishables later. For now.. let's get what we can.

[Flynn endeavors to ignore that return nickname and soldiers on, but not without making a small face at it first.]

Soooo... new teammate. Think you can find a suitable house?

[Flynn probably should be a little frazzled at trying to coordinate this, but he seems as chipper as ever as he replies, completely ignoring that he still isn't completely sure how a fridge works.]

So I just asked Glasses to find a house where we can store stuff. Can more than one of those... fridge-things... fit, you think? I don't think I knew they moved.

[He's going to go eyeball his a little later.]

I've got Glasses looking for an empty house we can take over. Once we've got one picked out, we can gather everything together there no problem.

Sound good to you? We might have a good way to deal with the perishables, too, but give me a few more minutes to see how that will work out.

I will gather what I can, then. It might be a good idea to look for small game and forage in the meantime as well.

Large freezers, huh? Not sure on that one, but I'll check it out since I'm in the area.

I'm not sure how I feel about leaving the food in one of the restaurants, though. Are freezers mobile?

Growing food I could get on board with. No idea how to do it, personally, but sounds like a solid idea.

Bright Eyes! [He smirks right back, offering a cheery two-fingered salute in greeting.]

You know, one of your little friends just mentioned that. What are we hunting, exactly? Me, I'm not exactly experienced in stalking Bambi, but a guy's gotta eat.

Great! Detective us up some grub from the other empty houses if you can. We're putting it all together in whichever house Glasses picks out as our new kitchen-away-from-kitchen.

[Flynn shrugs.]

As far as foraging goes... I'll get started on that one as soon as I finish checking for freezers in the shops around here. Small game, though?

[Flynn makes an uncertain face -- he's almost been out big-game hunting with the king once. Right before Rapunzel found out about it and couldn't choose between being horrified or freaking out at them both. So he's not exactly the best at it. Passable, maybe.]

I'll see what I can find. We can organize that after we can take stock of what we've got to work with.

[Flynn stares at his screen for a long moment, mentally preparing himself for the barrage of flailing and too-much-energy he's about to deal with, then flips his video back on in reply.]

Okay, Tiny. If I were you, I'd keep what came with your house.

If you want to help, then...

[He hesitates a moment, obviously casting about for some task to assign her. After a moment, he snaps his fingers, landing on just what he'll have her do.]

Why don't you help detective boy get the gift baskets from the empty houses. Assuming there are any. I haven't poked around in the other town homes, myself.

They’re really heavy, especially the large ones. There’s no way that one person could move it. Maybe not even two. Not without a cart or something, anyway... but I think we can find a way to move it. It won’t be easy, but it’s definitely possible. [slight smile] No freezers in your world, then?

In the same room, probably not? They're pretty big, but I think we can stuff a fridge somewhere else and it'd be fine.

I'm not sure. I think the CAT lists everyone, but I'm not sure it lists their houses. We could go doorknocking.

[he nods] Where are you planning on going?

[Flynn pauses before answering more and rubs his chin, regarding the buildings outside of the CAT's view.]
