[When the feed starts, it's zoomed in on a shiny red apple and a sharped-toothed grin. A soft thumping sound quickly follows as the CAT is placed on a leveled surface of some sort. There's the wet crunch of teeth breaking through smooth skin and ripe flesh before the sight pulls away, zooming out until the full picture is presented. There she is, casually lounging in a chair and delicately chewing the chunk of apple she'd bitten off. She smirks a little and waves, but doesn't seem to be in any rush to speak. In fact she takes a few more bites, taking her time with the chewing.
Finally, when she's about a third of the way done, she speaks.]
For a place that's capable of yanking us out of our universes, this borderline useless device [She leans in and taps the screen to make her point.] can't even connect to other universes. Laaaaaaaame. But I guess that's why it's useless. God forbid they give us anything useful after kidnapping us, right!
[For all her complaining though, she looks quite happy about being here. There's a glint in her eyes and a healthy flush to her face.]
Like any pro gamer, I've been keeping eight very close eyes on all of your posts. Let's call it research before joining the game. And let's face it! This? This is a game.
[A brief flash of seriousness. The last game she was in had to do with the fates of two universes, and needless to say, things didn't quite end up the way she expected. But this time things will be different. This time, she'll be a winner.
She flashes another grin.] So far it looks like you guys are a step up from my old loser friends, since some of you have actually managed to get out of this place before. And those who stayed, stayed by choice, right? Great! I was practically the only competent one in my group. I can't even tell you how much of a relief it'll be to work with people who know what they're doing.
So here's a question. If I visit the Mayor of Luminous Bullshit's house, will that do any good? Call me pessimistic, but I'm betting against him giving me any sort of useful information here. That would make things too easy, wouldn't it???????? [She snorts.]
By the way, the name's Vriska Serket. [She takes another bite of her apple and then reaches out to close the feed.] Don't forget it!

and that would be why. terezi can't even believe she's hearing her speak. the shock of it all leaves her feeling numb that she even forgets what button she has hit on the device.
because she can't certainly say nothing.]
It sounds to me you're still the same as always, and you've already managed to figure out some things too.
I bet you arrived on the same day as we did.
[voice]
That's some amazing detective skills, Pyrope. Why don't you state some more obvious facts for us? I suddenly found myself with a lot of time on my hands because nothing important is going on at all. I could listen to you ramble about useless shit all day!
[voice] ; suddenly a filter
I know, it's simply amazing.
Continuing on stating the obvious, I've managed to figure out a lot! But I think both of us managed to figure out the same things.
On the other hand, we should talk.
[voice; filtered]
Ummmmmmmm, no?
[voice; filtered]
Some things are going to come up sooner or later. Like the fact that it seems not all of us will be from the same timeline... or other things.
Just waiting for it to happen later won't help.

But- what do you think's at stake, then? Beyond getting home?
A show? Like on grubtube? [Now she just looks confused. This........ sounds strangely mundane. Kidnapping them for a show, huh?] And who's the big shot behind all this?
Our freedom. Our free will. Maybe our lives.
Mm. [He nods, slowly.] The messages we were getting before this…

If he's actually back there again, you'll not be able to get anything useful out of the man at all. You'll not even be able to see him. And all that's through his house is the entrance to the spacestation.
So I can't even go in there to punch him in the face???????? Damnit, what a wimp! [A pause as she processes this information.] Wait. How do you know if he's real? I had my suspicions when I got here, but has anyone ever seen him in person?
[He wondered if a lot of things were real or not back then, thanks to an inconvenient memory problem.] Some of the people who were here before me might have, come to think about it, but you'd have to ask them. I would, but it might be a wee bit difficult for me to track them down unless I can get them on this thingy.
Got any names for me? I'll just go ahead and contact them myself. And while my note taking pen is still out, [Metaphorically anyway. She's still got this apple to finish. Boy, it's taking a while!] mind telling me where you are? It doesn't fit the peaches and cream image I've been seeing around here.
Ye may want to speak to Fuu, if she's in town. She's very good with details. Or Sophie, or Hawk. They were all there the first time people started being brought here. The Doctor could tell ye too, if he turns up.
[Xion might too, but since she's with him and more than a bit upset over the Doctor's disappearance at the moment, he leaves her out of that part of things for right now. He peers at her, though, as that metaphorical statement winds up causing a little bit of confusion.]
Huh, I'd not noticed any pen...but anyway, aye. That'd be because I'm not in town. This place is in some caves on a planet called Fremercury. It's not too far from where ye are, I don't think, but we've not been here before.

She had been hoping to find Karkat or someone comparably agreeable next, but this is... something.
On one hand, not sure if want to talk to. Vriska said she was watching the posts, so she should already be aware of Kanaya's presence. On the other hand, pro gaming was mentioned. When Vriska and games are involved, there will be some dangerous activities sure to follow. Very, very dangerous...
Wait. Maryam, no. That's not what you

SIGH.
Let's get this over with then.]

Kanaya, heeeeeeeey! What a surprise! I had absolutely no idea that you were here! Imagine that.
